watch this video.

This guy is a musical genius, but he cannot see, he can't dress himself, can't tell left from Right or even count to ten.

Non-Autistics would call him Disabled, Aspies would call him a genius.

*Awaits the mass of flames and straw man arguments to come*

I'm sorry but he is disabled and I happen to be on the spectrum.

A genius is someone who has an IQ 145 or above. That guy is a savant.
I have seen the show and I can remember them saying he has a mind of a four year old so that means he is mentally ret*d but he is gifted.

Are you stupid or something, no cares about here, this is a forum, an incredibly stupid one at that.

You have done nothing but put words in my mouth, you place me on some pedestal that I never placed myself on.

We weren't discussing the problems of the world, you brought that up.

Fine if I'm stupid, then you're the biggest ret*d here.

Did you even listen to me?
Do you feel it's necessary to spit on me like everyone else on your paradise of like-mindedness?
I thought that their were people like me on this site long ago and then I found out the truth. The same will happen to you, sooner or later. Or you may be so far gone, it may be impossible.

WOW The above SCREAMS about how you are and how you feel about yourself SO much, that I couldn't hope to join the chorus! My screaming would be but a whisper to your post! I guess I have no more to say! Thanks for saying it so well, even if it DID very much lack eloquence!

I expect rubbernecking, and a few stray comments, but you really did write something that is easy to read between the lines, so hopefully not much more is left to be said.

As for friends on here, have you ever watched the breakfast club? It is a movie that fits in well. The school could be like this forum, and the people could represnt the different groups. The "bully" there was actually kind of nice in a way, so I don't know where YOU fit.

Anyway, this SAME question was asked THERE. They EACH got a glimpse into one another's lives though, at the end, they ended up having more respect for one another, even if they DID go in there with trepidation and various types of prejudices. The answer was left OPEN. In fact, they said there might be hesitance. But STILL, it was positive.

You've basically been telling me what my life is.
do you have any right to do this? By the way, using a 80's movie as reference is wack. I think I know who you are, the loser who got pushed around by his mother and his bratty sister. And it haunts him how he couldn't stand up for himself.
If you consider another opinion to be putting you down, then you are close-minded.

We may be in the same boat, but I can always laugh at others on the same boat. And if I feel inclined I may jump off and drown.

And that basically shows your entire attitude.

The debate about whether Aspies are superior or not is irrelevant, but your attitude isn't.

Okay FreedomG I have thought about you and I think I may have you figured out.

You are an "NT" guy who has some connection to the ASD community, what that is I don't think you have revealed. You must have felt threatened in some way at some time by your experience.

So, you visit a site such as this to sort your feelings out and reach some kind of conclusion. I applaud you for being interested enough to learn more.

Oh god not that crap again.

Why do people have to go around saying someone doesn't have AS just because they are saying things they don't like.

Now I know another way of curing ourselves from the ASD. Say something that another ASD won't like. I think I have just cured myself for saying that.

It wasn't simply saying something one didn't like. You are RIGHT! If THAT meant we were NT, we would ALL be NT! It is that he grouped ALL AS people into one group, and basically made them out to be automatons! So "ooOoOoOAnaOoOoOoo" has a point.

In fact, I believe its a miracle.

I feel not as socially awkward or maladjusted after debating with you clowns on what you consider to be intelligent or moral or factual.

And I couldn't give two shillings for what my attitude is.
If I have to shout to make a point, then I will.
And why don't you look at the other people who have shouted at me, you seem to have no trouble lurking on my thread waiting like a tiger to pounce. so you ignore the smaller quarry in favor of the larger prey, interesting...

And another thing,
you seem to be reprimanding me with no problem, but you won't even comment on my issue.

It is relevant, especially if you feel the need to jump in and defend your side.
so, what is your opinion?
Are those with the AS superior to the Neuro-Normals of the world?

Err, FreedomG, every premise from which you attack is even less logical than the last. Try refining your argument.

My entire point is that aspies are not superior or inferior and the justifications for either are flawed.

That's my whole point, the rest of what I've said is just me fighting back against this onslaught.

That is a conclusion. I stated that your premises were illogical. A conclusion needs not a sound premise to exist, but it is readily helped by the latter when being asserted.

it doesn't matter, all I am is a troll.

the WP term for a self-hating aspie.

no, not that I hate myself as a human being, but as a member of a false race.

I never chose them, someone else did. but I realize that shackles are just chains that grow rusty like any other metal, they corrode over time until the point where I am free. But others choose to remain in their shackles, a crowded dungeon is better than a lonely one I guess.

I should say the same thing about you.

I've just been answering questions.
