I have two: my partner scratching my back, and laying down in the sun when it's warm out and there's no breeze.

Looking at green tree tops....anything spring green...just calms me.

Looking at moving water, or being in water.

Hearing stringed instrument music such as the cello or violin. I hate plucking strings though - too sharp.

Gunshots outdoors would be my favorite

(Hilariously, gunshots indoors are my least favorite along with people talking.)

It use to be this but its not anymore, it just makes me depressed. I hate sexual impulses anymore because it sort of burns and I want to get it done with and the process makes me feel worse. Then I'm done and feel a mix of relief and shame.

I'd say my favorite sensation is that feeling I get when a song is really, really good to me. Like it'll vibrate with me almost and I'll obsess over it and play it over and over. I'll go jog to it when I run and feel more energy.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I have lots of favorite sensations.... :D

I love the sensation of being wrapped up in my favorite Cars blanket, snuggling with my plushies, being hugged (deep pressure), and I also love the feel of my die cast Cars - I love the metallic texture and the weight of them. :D

Heavy objects placed on my torso and flanks, wearing body armor, running my hands along metal, rusted metal, concrete and fuzzy/furry surfaces, getting shot with frozen paintballs (preferably on bare skin), the sound of machine gun fire and air raid sirens...

soft fuzzy things like rex rabbit fur (which I'm unfortunately allergic to) or brand-new sweatshirts and sweatpants; running my fingers along a textured wall as I walk by; well-engineered mechanical things with parts that fit together and come apart precisely. Nice human voices singing.

I don't really like hugs, but then I'm not fond of being touched. And less fond of touching someone else. Hugging me is probably like hugging a lumpy pillow. All I do is endure the hug until it is over.

One thing that I do enjoy is watching lightning between clouds from a distance -- far enough that I don't hear the thunder. A good lightning display like that is about as good as it gets.

I like heavy blankets no matter what time of year.

When I was a kid, the only heat source for the entire house was a small gas stove in the living room. At night, we would turn the stove off in case there was a problem with the gas during the night.

My room was upstairs and so it was always cold in the winter. The stove didn't provide enough heat to do anything in the day, much less have it last all night.

Sometimes when it was as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside, I would pile about five thick blankets on my bed, open the windows, and then climb under the blankets. After a few minutes, I'd be warm. The contrast between a warm body and a really cold face and head was fantastic.

The only problem was getting up in the morning. I really hated having to climb out of bed when my bedroom was 10 degrees. I'd have loved to have just stayed there all day and not gone to school.

Silky smooth fabric that's cold. I love to run my hands over cold silk.

The taste of rich chocolate.

Changing into dry clothes after being cold and wet.

The scent of eucalyptus.

Covering myself in warm laundry fresh from the dryer.

Moving my hands over cool sand at the beach.

My cat lying on top of my chest, purring.

The posts after my tome reminded of other things I enjoy --

A shower and clean clothes after a day on the beach
Sound of rain
Great Tex-Mex food
