:(

I will pretty much read, listen to or watch anything. As long as it's not sports-related.

Because they're fun, and make great toys.

Yes, indeed. Also, I like to be able to browse the web, no matter where I am, without needing to carry around something larger.

Why do people need to ask, "Did I surprise you?" when it is obvious that they did. Do they think that it is normal for me to jump out of my seat?

The need for handshakes, and eye contact to determine someones character.

Their need to see people frequently. Today my mom asked me if I was coming to dinner and I said no, and she said that "I have family out there", implying that I was being selfish for not letting them see me. I'm here every day all day, they can see me whenever they want (it's not like they ever want to anyway). This has happened before; it seems that if an NT doesn't see you all the time then it means you don't like them or something.

Yes ! I find this - I don't see someone for a couple of months and they have the hump with me like I have done them a wrong.

Cell phones should be used to talk. Cell phones that are also toasters, tvs, computers, agendas, etc, etc, etc are not cell phones. That should be the purpose of a computer. What a waste of money.

I am not NT, but I do want an android.

I love multipurpose devices.

I love touch screens.

I am not always at home at my computer, and would like to check forums, e-mail, chat, and the like when I'm not. Also, when the power goes out, I like having an alternative.

The last thing I want to do on a cell phone is talk.

Yeah - they have to have their little mutual stroking sessions, the endless confirmations that they're still friendly with each other.

I have an HTC Desire (that's a phone, not a complex  ) and it's great.

Yep. I always look at what else the phone does, and talking with it is so far down the list it's practically not on it.

the complete inability to last more than 38 seconds without one another (I've counted) - the constant virtual communication, going out together, constant social interaction and small talk even if nothing worthwhile is being discussed, non-verbal communication (strange looks) across minor distances, and, if possible, they will always run to join one another if separated. whats wrong with being alone?!

The Tweenies

Their song "Best Friends Forever".

It's a nice idea but...
Unfortunately, not all friendships do last forever.
In the modern world, some people move around and change jobs/schools.
People move on, circumstances change, people can become Geographically separated and lose contact.
People also "fall out" with each other: friendships can mature or "go stale".
This isn't anybody's fault, it's just how things happen sometimes.
"Make friends make friends sometimes break friends." was a chant at my school: it's a billion times more sensible, educational and realistic than this "earworm" TV song.

The line "I was alone before I met my friends" is redundant.

"All I needed was to be myself": if that was all that it took, people wouldn't have so much trouble being rejected. There wouldn't be xenophobia.

"Don't care if your clothes are all wrong": many people clearly do and reject and bully people on the basis of their appearance. The word "wrong" sounds very judgemental in this context. It assumes that there is a "right" way to dress. It assumes that the person being addressed is a walking "fashion disaster". If the characters singing didn't really care about people's fashion sense, then they wouldn't use the word "wrong" at all. They would just call clothes "clothes" and wouldn't make a big fuss about the issue.

The line: "Don't worry you'll be fine."
Incredibly unhelpful. It teaches the viewer no social skills whatsoever. It's also very shallow and dismissive of people's problems. I've heard that line before: I wasn't fine, people overestimated my ability to cope.

The characters show no discernible human facial expressions at all.
There are no clear human emotions communicated.
There's a lot of phatic language used, but very little realistic body language to accompany it.

I get the impression that kids would learn more about complex human social interactions if they just went out to play with their real friends rather than watched this show.

The phrase:

"You'll know when you're older."

I'm older and I still don't know.
Many other people probably still don't know either, yet they somehow managed to cope.

Once, I was stupid enough to ask the question:
"What will happen to me when I grow up?"

An adult replied: "You'll know when you're older."

Well duh.
That's an unhelpful tautology.

The snippy way women act, where they talk about you behind your back and are passive-aggressive. I thought this was over with by college, but I've found that even women in their 40s will engage in it. They won't talk to you about what they're angry about, even if you're the only person involved, and expect you to know exactly what's wrong and what they want. If you don't, they glare at you and make passive-aggressive comments to other people when you're around, things said just to get on your nerves.

This drives me bonkers!

Modulating their voices. How do they do that? I've heard recordings of my voice, and it sounds so flat and monotone, even though to me, it sounds fairly normal.

I think I can do it pretty well if I do on purpose, but I'm sure I am monotone when I speak normally.
