I always thought Dawn Weiner had it. Couldn't read social cues and she copied people. Anything done to her, she would do to others. Maybe it was to make herself feel better, being normal. She is a lot like me at that age.

Re-reading it as an adult, I'd say Matthew and Marilla are both Aspie siblings (Marilla is socially not bad but very routine- and ritual-based, doing things always the same way, with difficulty expressing feelings and difficulty dealing with change... a bit like my paternal grandmother), while Anne is a great protrait of a very intelligent ADHD girl.

I'm pretty sure they were based on some real people with these conditions.

What about Columbo (he is nice but his social skills aren't that good), Mr Fawlty (his organisational skills suck), Dynamit-Harry (he is weird) and Dag-Otto (he seems to have intellectual disability according to the actor playing him)

Mr. Bean---absolutely aspergers--everything he does is completely against convention. I can relate to him.

Kramer---not as much as Mr. Bean, but he's still eccentric

Spock---pure logic

Data for that matter, except he's not human. But if he were...

Michael Scott from "the Office"---terrible social skills!

Because of the way Kramer analyzed showering?
I can relate to it a little bit although I never went to the YMCA.

Did you just quote someone from 17 years ago? Don't you know that if you do that could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe!... Granted, that's the worst-case scenario. The destruction however might be limited merely to our own galaxy.

Syril from "Star Wars: Andor." He's technically an antagonist, but a kind of sympathetic one. He comes into conflict with the hero by trying a bit too hard to do his job properly. He's the deputy in the security division of a company that controls a planet. When Andor kills two company employees in a brawl, Syril's boss refuses to investigate the deaths, so Syril goes behind his boss's back with disasterous results. Syril is very dedicated and focused, but his people skills are pretty appalling and he doesn't have much of a sense of proportion. Apparently the script-writers intended for him to have OCD, but he comes across more as autistic to me.

Detective Robert Goren from Law & Order: Criminal Intent based on his eye for details, and finding it difficult for him to sometimes understand social conventions at times.

I just started watching "Fellow Travelers" starring Matt Bomer and wouldn't you know it Hawkins Fuller is autistic-coded. He seems to have a talent for it as an actor, 'cause that's 3 for 3.

All procedurals center on characters with attention to detail and often “quirky” personalities so that genre is ripe for “autistic” characters. Spencer Reid from ‘Criminal Minds’, Bones from ‘Bones’ have been mentioned a lot. This websites founder advised actress Diane Kruger for the character Sonya Cross on ‘The Bridge’. And there is the oldest “autistic” detective of all Sherlock Holmes.

Rocky Balboa and John Rambo (the movie character, not in the original First Blood book). I think pretty much every main character created by Sylvester Stallone has some Autistic traits. I think it's just the way he writes them.
