As Commander in Chief I welcome your volunteering for the position of commanding officer of the Panzer Corps. Though I think weve only established that our tanks so far consist of experimental russian T-97 Blackhawk tanks so far. Maybe we need to look for other tanks to be part of our Panzer corps.

We still require

Airmarshal: In charge of Airforce and maintaining air superiority and defence over our sovereign nation
Cheif of Navy/Grand Admiral: To direct the nations carrier fleets, battlegroups and submarine operations and also has a naval airwing attached to the carrier groups.
Space Marshal: Might as well get there first before the other superpowers, we need one of those fancy ion cannons from Command and Conquer

Maybe a few other sub-ordinate positions.

I'm new here, so I hope I'm not offending anyone, but this quote in its full context appears to state that this Aspergia was a real place. I know a lot about prehistory and I've never heard of a place called Aspergia. Is it fictional or is there a gap in my knowledge?

I have to say it sounds like an easy place to live in if it did exist now.

I volunteer to be the Chief Navy/Grand Admiral so i can command the fleets, and captain the flagship myself!

What would be nice is that if we had a society, people would accept our customs, for e.g. one individual is in the eyes of the public is just strange and so are his customs, but if a large group of people get together and do similar things/have similar habits then the public just accepts that it it their custom.
When people see people from other countries eating what is in their eyes strange food they accept that they were brought up different and therefore have different ways, even though the food to them is still stange they accept it.

Can I be Vice Godking or vice president or whatever the heck we have? I don't really care what I am so long as I get Vice in the title. I mean, I have to have a position to match all of my vices. Vice is nice.

Aspergia is actually a fictional place. However, there's a website http://www.aspergia.com that describes it as a real place, where the aspie culture originated. Everyone had their own role in society, and there was a social script for every situation. Unfortunately, Aspergia was obliterated by a massive flood, and the aspies were exiled forever.

Thanks I'll see where I can find some more tanks. See if you can get those other postions filled.

The military issue seems to be well taken care of. However, what we need to worry about is the infrastructure. Here are the questions I have.

Electricity
How will we generate it? Will we use fossil fuels, nuclear power, or hydroelectric dams? What voltage standard are we going to use (American 110V/60Hz, or Europeran 220V/50Hz)? How will we run the power lines, and what material will we use, copper or aluminum?

Water
Where will it come from? Are we going to use chlorine or ozone to treat it before use? Will the plumbing the metal or plastic? What kind of sewer systems will we have? And how will the waste water be treated before disposal?

Telecom
What phone system will our nation have: traditional PSTN or VoIP? What material will we use for phone lines? How will the central offices be organized? Should we even have a cell phone network, or do away with it completely? Who will own the broadband data lines?

Waste Disposal
What structure will the waste disposal system have? How will recycling work? For waste that cannot be recycled, what disposal method will be used: landfills, incineration, or packing it into watertight crates and dumping them into the ocean?

I very much agree. I'll just command the tanks and I'll design new cars. I'm thinking hover craft type cars.

As a former Marine I should be in charge of Beer swilling, fighting, farting and mopping. One hte revoulution is sucsessful, I should also be MOC for the floor buffer rodeo.

Wow, I've been fantasising and daydreaming about what an Asperger's homeland might be like, and now I've come across this thread and the Aspergia site, brilliant!

An Asperger's homeland would have massive potential. Not just because of our technical skill, but because we all have intense interest and knowledge in one subject area or another. We'd be the most skilled workforce on earth, in all areas. Education especially would be the best in the world, though would of course have to be structured differently from any existing country.

Once our land is peopled, to the extent it can be, citizenship for NT's would be something like the American Green Card system. For example, there'd be scenarios where an NT can become a citizen, if they marry an Aspie.

What about the question of language? It would be fitting for the official language to be something suitably arcane, such as Esperanto. Aspies would settle from all countries of the world so it does make a common, neutral language advisable. I like this idea also because these invented languages are scripted, rather than having just evolved. This is also similar to the situation in Israel, where Hebrew, although an ancient language, was a dead language, and was re-invented actually many years before the state of Israel was founded.
