Sometimes someone will ask me a question like “What year was then constitution ratified?”, where the answer is a year or other number, and even if I never specifically studied it, a number will just pop into my head, and 90% of the time it’s right! It’s super weird, maybe I just subconsciously remember it, I don’t know.
When I’m trying to memorize something like a script or something written on paper, after looking at it a few times, it’s like it’s burned into my memory, I can picture it and just read straight from it in my head.
I also have an awful short term memory but excellent long term. Examples: I can’t remember our hotel room number, but I can remember the room number of that kid from 5 years ago who randomly told me in the lobby that his room number 2563 (yep, still remember...)

That's pretty nifty!

I have no "superpowers." I'm fairly good with historical facts and dates.

That seems like a super power

I scored in the 99th percentile on a ravens matrix test I took in highschool, even though I was failing my classes and dropped out of school.

I had memorized the statistics (height, length, year of build, designer, builder, ride time) of every wooden roller coaster in North America without trying (just having seen those stats in roller coaster books).

I have been able to play any musical instrument that I become fascinated with without having lessons and in very little time.

I have several things that may fall under the category of the power sort.

Memorizing a lot of details about shows/characters/movies, subjects in classes, animals.
Having a good memory, being able to remember conversations from years ago.
Power to make connections/associations.
Working for hours on end without needing a break.
The power to sing songs by ear that I have never heard before
The power to draw detailed pictures quickly.
The power to turn a one sentence assignment into a several paragraph essay.
Power of interacting with and understanding pets/animals (Not literally animal language, but just understanding where they are coming from.)

Maybe I just have a better sense of quantity than most. I always know if math could be applied, even if I don't always know how to set up the equations. I've never learned calculus. Two examples: I can quickly see the efficiency of boats and aircraft just by the relative size of their thrust wakes. If the wash is small, it must be fast, and pushing on it is like walking up the down escalator. When I see those sentimental videos of people feeding stray dogs, etc, I also get awareness of the wild animal that didn't get food at the other end of the supply chain.

I can sing, but I might make the audience disappear in the process ... LOL. Well, I'm not that bad, but I think I sounded better when I was younger.

Good ole Larry Hooper. I used to watch him on the Lawrence Welk Show and thought "what a voice" and "he seemed like such a nice guy." Good memories. I remember him singing "This Old House" on the show.
