I completely agree. If only we had "Like" buttons here...

okay, so maybe this sounds kinda silly.... but i noticed something as i was reading though the posts on this thread.... my eyes skim past the posts with no avatar. a picture gives my eyes something to 'stick' to, otherwise it feels like a lot of text all on its own. an avatar also helps me recognize a poster and i am more likely to comment on a post of someone i 'recognize'.

just a thought.

For sure!

I"m way way out of my depth here (intellectually)

Also I went to my 1 st ASD Meet Up recently and could see "cliques" and as usual I was on my own :(

I'm only an insider to my pets and that's just the way |I like it, at least we know without a doubt their love for us is very very real . :D

No, I feel like I belong here! It's amazing how much the other people on here sound like me. I should have joined years ago! It's thrilling to hear that they have the same kinks as me. I wish I could meet some of them in real life.

Yes. I don't feel as if I fit in here either.

Seems like I have a tendency to irritate even people here.

I'd say a bit of both. Yes, at times I do feel like an outsider on WP but to vote this way rather than the other means I could not vote for feeling included on WP which I do also feel sometimes. Also I think the queston is leading. Would you answer the same if it was 'do you feel like an insider/you belong on WP?'

Nothing stopping you from asking the other way, if you want to, I wasn't attempting science or anything.

Yes. I feel like an outsider on WP more often than I do in RL or on other fourms.

If I feel like an outsider in general, it follows that I would feel like an outsider on WP. I'm still me, after all.

At times, yes.

^This :D

- Most autistic people have trouble relating to others and often feel like outsiders.
- This is a forum for autistic people.
- Ergo, most people in this forum have trouble relating to others and often feel like outsiders (myself included).

Yes, I actually feel like I right in the middle of autistic and neurotypical. It's annoying.

Yes i do feel like an outsider. There are a lot of naive fools in this community and it annoys me.

It seems to me that it is some kind of contest on here, as to who's the most Aspie. I don't know why, but that's the feeling i get. My theory is that 60% of the people on this website are not on the spectrum but are trying to convince themselves that they are (due to insecurity about lack of friends, etc). So they constantly have to reassure themselves by being as aspie as possible.

Just my opinion.

Not really. Only when I'm out in public, because of the way people keep staring at me I feel there's something wrong about me. It makes me very uncomfortable and makes me feel like the most unusual looking thing in the world, even though rightfully I'm just ordinary like everyone else, since I don't do anything notable or dress unusual or nothing like that.
