Waterdogs, if you're trying to debate an issue, use honey instead of vinegar. In other words, temper your words with kindness and the other person won't feel they're under attack. You may have all the facts in the world but if the other person won't listen because they feel they have to barricate themselves emotionally, what you have to say won't matter at all.

So are you telling me christianity came up with the monotheism theology? (the one god) Or was that the jews who came up with that?

Actually it was the Egyptians - Aknathon.

I believe God has made each one of us perfect, perfect for his purposes. So he made you an aspie because you are perfect to him in this way.
Then why did he make people who become terrorists and pedofiles? They are perfect to him because they teach the rest of us to forgive.

Actually if you want to get down to it like that, it was Zoroastrianism that created the monotheism ideology. wich were agroup of people from persia. i was just using the jews as an example because i was trying to show tigerfire where his religion came from. the egyptians worshiped other gods along side that "one" god wich kindof doesn't count as a monotheism religion. but your right they were before the jews.

Sheesh you never give up do you waterdogs. Your acting like a dog that won't let go. Let this go I don't want to have alex to lock this topic. I don't believe you and now talking behind my back over me to some body else using my name is highly insulting.

why would anyone lock this? because you don't like the way someone is talking on here about your religion and where it came from? typical. lock it because i don't like the way its making my religion look. talking behind your back? your one confused person my friend. im not talking behind your back at all and if you think i am you're an idiot. but i think that has already been well established.

We might as well let it die. Looks like Tigerfire is getting cranky. You know how religious people throw fits when anyone attempts to discuss reality with them.

Please forgive me, but I don't like that generalization. TigerFire throw fits when WaterDogs, et.al. attempts to discuss religion with him.

i don't hate what you believe, its just not the truth. and for someone to take christianity as the truth means they have a sheepish mentallity and will believe almost anything they are told. Do you think that jesus's apostles had a pen and paper and wrote everything down that he said while they where with him? i think the new testement was written years after his death so that leaves alot of room for some people to put there own twists into the books of the NT. Thats why i don't believe it. i also don't believe it because the first 4 original gospels sound almost identical to each other, wich more than likely means one person wrote the first book, and then someone else copyed the other books from that book.

How come God can take credit for all the good things that happen, but no one blames God for that bad things that happen? You can't have it both ways. What it comes down to is God made everything and has the power to stop bad things from happening, but he does nothing. But whe good things happen, we say its "gods will", but how is not gods will when bad things happen? Double standard.
I have only prayed a couple of times in my life, but those times, God has done the total opposite of what I prayed for. When i was 9, my dad was sick, I prayed to god to have him get better. God let him die. I thought it said in the bible if you pray for others, God will listen and answer your prayers, but thats a lie.
The other time I prayed was when my step dad passed on, I asked God to give my Mom strengh to get through it, God let her become a drug addict.
God is in total control. God loves to cause bad things to happen so we pray to him, its how he stays powerful.

One question I like to ask. How does one expect an extreme low function autistic or someone with Angelman syndrome to understand anything about the Bible or Koran or what it means to be a good Christian or Muslim?

On the original subject of God supposedly giving normal people a
better deal than us with AS .
If God is all-powerful then who are we to question what happens?
I think we should remember that everyone has different
problems to cope with in their lives. What about 'normal'
people with non-AS issues like manic depression . They
can be housebound for months. Even people who seem carefree may
be putting on a brave face and have problems we don't know about.
You can always see some good in every situation, like the bravery
of firefighters and ordinary people in 9/11 or 7/7

Yeah I know that everyone Blames God when things are going bad but they never give God credit when things are going right. Some times they get so proud and go luky feeling that they forget God and do things on their own.
