I mostly dress for comfort. I'll wear T-Shirts with fictional characters from Movies/TV Shows, quotes from Movies/TV Shows, popular bands, anything like that. I really love wearing shorts or sweatpants depending on the weather. For the longest time, I've never really liked wearing jeans cause I never found them comfortable, I don't know whether it was the texture, the feel of the material, or what, but then I came across a couple pairs of skinny jeans that I wear whenever possible. I also have my favorite leather jacket that I got from a thrift shop, my Assassin's Creed fingerless gloves, and my maroon beanie that I wear whenever I go out to the mall. Also for those of you wondering, I'm a boxers guy.

I have always desperately wanted to be fashionable, stylish, and "fit in". I'm a model, and all the other models seem to have this innate sense of style that I am sorely lacking. When I do a shoot I always request a stylist because I am bad at stuff. In more recent years I've given up a bit & will wear a t-shirt with workout leggings in public. I wear a lot of black because it is comforting to me to feel like a ninja & makes my laundry day a lot easier. I only wear jeans, and only stretchy jeans, usually with a white t-shirt and leather jacket when I have to go out and look "nice".

When I was in my early to mid 20s I was a gogo dancer and most jobs required me to wear heels for hours on end. As a result, I have barbie feet! I can flex my foot now & it makes the shape of the heel incline I always wore, much like a pointe dancer has pointe shoe shaped feet. I also have a weird bone sticking out of the tops of my feet now, that's not only gross but painful, so I don't wear heels, I prefer flip flops or boots. My boyfriend wishes I would wear heels more, as he missed out on the heel-wearing phase of my life.

I'm surprised no one here mentioned "decision fatigue"! If you wear the same thing or things every day, just tell everyone that you don't want to suffer from DECISION FATIGUE! (I sort of hate EliteDaily but that link was one of the first on google)

I hated jeans for the longest time, but it turns out...it just depends on the jeans. I wear somewhat skinny jeans but not really the super tight ones I just prefer the straight legged that aren't baggy but somewhat stretchy so I can fit in them comfortably. Some have such skinny ankles/lower legs I can't get my calf muscles or whatever into them as they are kinda large I walk a lot and its likely a somewhat genetic trait from what I understand. I remember in my adolecence/teens I usually wore guys cargo pants, the girls jeans my size all seemed to flare some at the bottom which I didn't like I think here and there I found a few straight legged tightish ones at the thrift store. I used to wear fingerless gloves a lot...I suppose I would still if I had a pair that wasn't frayed, but I lost my one pair that aren't. Also though the jeans I wear might not be true 'denim' or jean material but are more jean styled.

my standard uniform is either khaki-colored thin fabric trousers with gray tank top, or black medium fabric trousers with black tank top. hair is usually in a ponytail. outdoors I am always wearing my raybans, as I am light-sensitive. in winter I add a jacket and gloves.

NO, there isn't, but I used to wear only formal-clothes all the time (with the exception of when I was doing heavy exercises), back when I was in my "professional-mode" days, before the "field-testing" of psychotropic-drugs ruined that all (due to all SSRIs always causing some kind of permanent-damage to many parts of your biological-system).

I personally am not sure if my having aspergers effects how I dress or not, other then the fact that I have never cared much for popular trends due to aspergers related ignorance of social norms.

Used to work ALL the time, had my office-clothes, business-suit, and cover-alls, for switching between office-type or construction-type work, and would wear the cover-alls over my office-clothes, especially for those weeks where I had two different forty-hour assignments (yes, that is a total of 80 hours in one week), working the office-job in the morning-shift, napping in my car for about an hour or two after the office-job, then doing the ware-house/assembly/construction-work during grave-yard shift, wearing the cover-alls, and sometimes reverse-ish, depending on type of job & shift of assignments.

What your "typical aspie" wears will more-likely have to do with what kind of "stage" they are in within their life rather than anything to do with being aspie-type. Some enjoy their uniforms & others hate being uniform.

I strongly relate to decision fatigue! I have lots of nice clothes in my closet, and anyone with more delight about mixing and matching would have a ball creating a different cute outfit every day from what I've got.

But I tend to wear the same thing every day, and/or only two or three garments rotated -- as if those are the only clothes I have! I'm sure some people I know think I have nothing else to wear.

And it's because I hate making decisions about what to wear and what to put with what. I actually know what goes with what and could look really put together and even dressy/stylish. But I can't stand the process. I just want to grab the one or other t-shirt that is my default t-shirt, and get on with my day.

I often look at all my pretty things and feel it's a crying shame that I have no interest in wearing 90% of them. Things that are even comfortable and I have no problem with them, it's just the decision thing. I just don't want to have that extra little "problem" each day.

I bet you have beautiful plumage, Birdie!

I tend to stick to chino-type pants/jeans and a polo shirt/button down shirt.

I don't mind looking slightly "nerdy" and maybe even "preppie."

I like cute, nerdish girls myself.

Haha, the only problem is, all my beautiful plumage stays in the back of the closet unseen!

And there I am, walking around in a t-shirt, jeans, a cosy cardigan and tennis shoes every day!

However, I do love to dress for comfort, especially at my age now, especially where comfortable shoes are concerned.

Yeah...I know what you mean about the "comfortable shoes!"

I wear sneakers (what you Brits call "trainers") or comfortable loafer-type shoes (though with laces).

LOL....I've always thought "tennis shoes" was a California term. That's right...you were a Yank at one time!

Haha, an honorary one, yes!

Yes, trainers-type shoes, and I've recently turned on to those Skechers things that are like bedroom slippers but with a trainers/sport shoe sole and breathability.

How ideal is that, to feel like you're walking about in your bedroom slippers?

Like Paradise, my sweets...Like Paradise!

Now...if only I was that Ethiopian runner who won the 1960 Olympic marathon barefoot!

Eek, barefoot!

One of my sensory issues is I hate to be barefoot -- except in the shower, haha! (Quickly dispelling the notion that I shower with my Skechers on! )

At least you'll never get Hookworm!

Sometimes, I like to go barefoot to scratch the itches of my soles.

This may be kind of weird, but I don't like wearing shorts in the summer.
