If we indentified people by their Internet Protocol Address, it would be a lot easier to tell.
When I was a mod on here awhile back, I remember that there were a large number of members whose accounts showed up with a HUGE number of different IP addresses under them, including mine (I was curious one day so I looked all of mine up). So it would make it difficult to finding "duplicate" IPs I think.
Also, I don't think alex disallows a member to have an additional account. Just when they have MULTIPLE accounts.
I only have one username. I think if I had more I would lose track and make a fool of myself somewhere. Plus, dealing with just one personality is enough for me.
That sums up my p.o.v. on this issue, couldn't have put it better myself. For these reasons, I'm no more & no less than merely me (whether online or IRL).

i dont create sock puppets on forums where i am a recognised regular member, only on forums i do not like who i create several names and spam and troll the hell out of
Personally i like the anonymity of being allowed to have multiple user names. This is an "alt". Mainly due to the fact that when i first started posting here i was not quite aware of what this forum was like. Having only previously posted on very specific and technical forums I think i may have made some inappropriate (unintentionally) posts when i first joined. Personally i would rather be judged upon the content of my posts rather than the amount of posts i have, the anonymity(hopefully) of this name allows me too post about myself and hopefully help others occasionally without worrying about being prescribed motivations by other people.
If any of the mods or anything think it's inappropriate for me too do this i'd hope they'd get in contact with me and let me know.
