I want a yummy ice cream from Dairy Queen, but I must wait for a couple days and go there when I get my paycheque direct deposited in my bank.

Animals outnumber the people everywhere. I live in the area of the biggest city in my country, and it has as many rats as it has people. Now add pets, birds and other wildlife (yes, cities have wildlife too; foxes, hedgehogs, magpies, pigeons, crows, seagulls etc, even the occasional deer and elk), and people are the minority here as well. :D

Around here, the animals outweigh the people, but there's life everywhere. Getting a sunbath face-down in my back yard, I can turn over a stone and find several different insects.
A friend once had a photo studio on a downtown alley with a white wall at the end. One night, he set up a slide projector, showing pictures of flowers, visible from the street. After each small crowd had come in, he'd explain that the show was free, but he wanted them to guess where the pictures were from. He'd let everyone run out of guesses, and then reveal that all the pictures had been taken right in that alley, with a macro lens.
