I eat pizza with a knife and fork.

Actually, I have odd cutlery preferences. I will only use a certain ivory handled butter knife, a certain short handled fish fork and a long handled coffee spoon for whatever I happen to be eating.

I don't know how aspie a trait this is, but when I ate sandwiches I ALWAYS eat them in a circle starting with the crust then working inwards.

now whenever I eat a sandwich I always remove the crust and eat just the middle, using the crust as soup thickener.

When I was younger I was unable to eat a sandwich if it had crust. I was eating the middle and leaving crust behind. My parents were keep punishing me for this, "because kids in Africa starve".

Now I carefully eat all the crust first and then eat the middle. Unless I have no time to bother with the hard part - then I just eat the middle and throw the crust away before parents can see it.

I do this too... Is it really a weird thing? I mean, I know the more common way of eating pizza is with your hands, but what if it's too hot or there's too many toppings?

I can't eat with a knife and a fork. I'm unable for some reason to manipulate eating utensils with two hands at once. :| I usually just use a finger to hold down part of whatever I need to cut and then make sawing motions with my fork or whatever.

I'm very uncouth that way, I suppose.

More often than not, I'll just end up burning myself on my pizza, because using a knife and a fork is too difficult!

For similar reasons, I cannot engage in most activities that involve fine motor coordination of the hands, such as pottery/sculpting, knitting/crocheting/cross-stitch, or beading...my mother is a great beader, gets tons of compliments, but I just know if I even tried beading that soon enough I would be hurling beads around the room and screaming in a fury. ;_;

I'm good at typing, though...largely because of backspace.

...

I also cannot walk and drink at the same time. :?

I don't know if it's weird (and it probably isn't that noticeable), but I always eat my food in the same order: Meat, starch, veggie. That is, unless they're blended together like a pizza or taco or sandwich or calzone, etc.

The majority of my food I eat with a spoon, even when I go out, I ask for a spoon. Unless it really needs to be cut, if it does I cut it all up, and then eat with a spoon. I rarely eat anything with my hands (absolutely hate stuff on my hands), however I have conceded that for some things it looks unusual to try to eat with utensil's.

I'd like chicken wings better if they didn't have any bones.

I eat pizza with a fork, because I scrape off the toppings and throw away the crust. The crust is pure fattening carbs; the meat, vegetables and cheese are mostly protein, and they're where the flavor is anyway.

Pizza buffet restaurants don't like me, because I only eat the flavor, throw away the filler and can go back over and over without getting full. :D

@NEtikiman - exactly, they were the item that induced me to use my hands- since I do not like anything on my hands though, I eat very few and wash my hands often

I love using chopsticks and try to eat dishes that require them as often as possible.

I tend to press the tip of my nose against my upper lip... it looks like I'm thinking, hopefully.

I get fixated on certain beverages for long periods of time, the latest was Sprite now it's Sanpellegrino sodas, especially blood orange. Foods too, had a navel orange phase, now I'm on my cucumber-tomato salad with ranch and avocados phase.

Clothes are rather easy I rotate out "dressy" outfits which tend to be dark colors so I don't have to coordinate them. Work clothes are easy too because I wear a chef's coat and black pants and black Danskos -- it's good to dress the same all the time in the restaurant, I don't think people can tell that I just wear the same 3 pairs of pants on alternate days lol

I really like to touch things walking through the woods or anywhere really, it's like if I haven't seen it before or whatever I want to touch it first. Hence I was keeping snakes at highschool age because they felt SO COOL. Other people were grossed out by them usually. Also love to watch the sky, birds, the ocean and other bodies of water for hours. I'm lucky to live on the coast.

I also stroke lobsters... yeah I think they might have some feelings too and they get all sleepy (stroking their head). I have a strange affinity to creatures most people find gross or "beneath them". The first one to save that spider, except I do kill mosquitoes and biting flies.

Have an annoying habit of clicking my left jaw out of socket and back in... I don't even notice til someone looks at me funny. Dunno if that's a trait or whatever but I got my teeth straightened and my mouth still doesn't know quite what to do with the new complete bite.

Think that's it for now.

I normally phase out and begin to walk on my heels. Otherwise I pick at my forehead when I get anxious.

I am fixated on good sound when listening to music, I have to be surrounded by music and must have enough deep bass to provide me an "tactile aural massage" all over my body. :dj:
