I guess I am ok being AS it sure has it's problems. But it is part of me. Sometimes I wish I could throw it in the trash, other times I think, thank the higher powers that I am AS. If I could get the right help things would be so much better.

AS is what makes us who we are. We are the amazing, We are the thinkers ,We are the ones who think out side the box and beyond,We make our own shapes, We are the ones that see the sun through the clouds cause we have to,

Even if the sun doesn't shine on me brightly I can believe that it is. And I am warmed by the fact that I am AS. I Am OK. I have spent to much time beating myself up and AS. It is time I beat back.

I like being an aspie, I see no reason I should have to conform in order to succeed, I have no social skills but I prefer to be alone anyway.

I don't really care what I am, I only care that I am (I didn't care about that before, but I do now).

People: never liked them; they lie too much, and think of themselves far too much
Socialization: don't like it; I never did it even when I thought I was "normal"; people talk far too much, and say nothing of importance (my subjective opinion)
Narrow interest: best drug ever
Extra sensitive to the environment: it hurts, but so do many things

I may not have the best social skills per se but, atleast, I do accept myself for being human being this way...

Defintely not.
I have self-confidence issues that have manifested in ways that I have a strong desire to excel and become that famous, intelligent person on TV or in a history book to prove to myself I'm not a complete failure. I think to reach that I need my autism.

I think there can be advantages to being able to see the world sideways when everyone around you is looking at things straight up and down. What I like right now is learning that there are many people who come from the same planet I do, and that it is possible to learn how to cope with life on this planet. Maybe I'll never be perfect at it, but it does improve with time and effort.

I have no idea. Actually, I've never thought about it.

Why would I like to be like the people who've ostracized me, my whole life?
