My mom told me too. And obviously yeah, there are different traits. It's pretty obvious to me. I think the medical community is confused about it too. One doctor says one thing, another says something else. It's pretty confusing.

One might consider it a 'borderline', but, to speak metaphorically, it certainly doesn't feature barbed wire and land mines.

Its just a trait or symptom at most thats all.

Confusing, yes, totally agree on that.

But about this line... that's the question, isn't it. There are no different symptoms or traits, unless one counts the speech delay. I fit all criteria of AS and autism except one of autism, I had no speech delay.

And a speech delay can occur in non-autistic individuals too, thus is not a definite indication for a difference of the autism itself.

There's no line from my perspective, especially if I take all the pdd-nos/atypical autistic people into consideration.
