I wonder how long we'll live . . . now that's a study I'd like to be able to do.

Maybe it is to do with a sense of naivity (sp) that I portray, maybe a gentleness or innocence, don't know. Someone remarked to me how young I looked today.
My daughter is 23 - people still think she is at school.
Has it's advantages.

I feel young mentally but I look and feel older than my age, physically. Drinking and smoking (which I don't do anymore, or at least haven't for a while) play a role as does exposure to the sun. But I think stress has been the biggest factor.

When I was 15 I looked 10. When I was 16 I looked about 12, when I was 17 I looked about 13 and now i'm 18 and look about 15/16, some people say I even look 14.

I didn't start puberty till I was 15 and I always behave quite immature.

I thought I was alone with this and I only found out I had AS a month or two ago.

Ahhhh! People have always thought I was younger than I really am. I remember people asking me my age when I was around 10 and they didn't believe me. I went on on of those tour holidays (to New York, Cape Cod and Boston) with my parents and everyone else on the tour thought I was still at school (I'm 22). I had wondered if it was an As thing, and I guess it probably is.

I know a 5 year old that thinks I am a child.... (my best friend's daughter).... she always asks where my mommy and daddy are.... it had to be explained to her that I was a grown-up and my mommy and daddy live in another town...

When I was younger, like 13-16, everyone thought I was older. But now more people are remarking that I look younger.. Not sure if I agree. I think I look my age (19). But then, I do have a round face (not chubby, but kind of wide) with somewhat 'round'/large features. Plus I'm very pale with long messy hair. So that may contribute to it.

i look younger than my age too! every time i go to see a rated R movie, i have to show my i.d. card. i mean, i love that when i'm older, i'll look younger than i really am. but for now, i am fed up with always showing my i.d. i don't like it right now. the other thing, is that it is a person thing. because my bf looks younger than he really is, and he's 21. 22 in november. i wonder why that is.

I've heard it alleged that people are entering puberty earlier, and maybe that's why there are 20 year olds that look 12, for example.

I got that wrong! It should be "12 year olds that look 20".

I'm 16 and I have a sister who is 18.
Whenever I go someplace with her people always assume I'm the older sister. Also, when we go to the movies to see a rated R movie and the person in the booth asks for her ID, they don't even bother asking me. I've been told I look at least 19 by several people.

Also, I went to an anime convention over the weekend (even though I'm not that into anime anymore, I was there for the j-rock concert) and about 3 college aged guys talked to me there. A friend that I chatted with later told me that they had been flirting with me. One asked how old I was and when I answered 16 he laughed and apparently thought I was joking. Which I (obviously) wasn't. :?

I guess I'm an exception to the youthful Aspie appearance thing. -_-;;
