If you don't find a good flight from Hamburg, then you can, I suppose, fly from either Berlin, Dusseldorf, or Frankfurt.

I´ve been checking out those flights too, but haven´t really found anything worthwhile, as I have to pay more to take the train to another city- (German trains are not that cheap). Actually, the one from Hamburg could be doable, and then I´ll just try to work more in April, to afford it. It might also be good to fly from London, as I can usually get a cheap flight there...only thing is, the plane from here to London goes to another airport-(Stansted). Anyone know how far apart Stansted and Luton airports are?

I was sick the last few days, so I haven´t been looking. If I go to work tomorrow, I´ll check out a travel agent near my work...maybe they have something cheaper than I´ve seen. Well...I´ll book something eventually...

There is a National Express coach service/link between Luton and Stansted, which runs every hour, costs £11.10 single, and £17.90 return, and takes 90 minutes. Tickets can be bought at the airports, or in advance online at:

http://www.nationalexpress.com/Airport/index.cfm

I hope you are feeling better. Good luck with the ticket hunt. :)

I sent a mail to Daniel Tammet, ( via his contact page ), asking if he could/would meet us some time on the Saturday or Sunday.

I hope, I hope, I hope! ... ... ... :D

Edit. Deleted second "shaking"; it's too hard on the eyes !

Ok, I booked a flight! Yippee! I´ll be flying to Marseilles on Thursday, so I expect I should be in Avignon sometime in the afternoon. Then I´ll be leaving Monday, probably morning as I have a noon flight out of Marseilles. I have to wait another week to book my hotel, so it doesn´t come on the same credit card bill.

Looking forward to it!! !

How will we know who´s who, by the way? Will we be wearing "WP" stickers or something?? :?:

Great! That is wonderful. I am so glad you found something feasible. :D

I will probably be arriving on the Friday, in time for lunch, and leaving Monday afternoon.

Good question! Perhaps we could pm each other nearer the time to say exactly when we're arriving, and arrange to meet either at the hotel or some other simple to find place. And describe ourselves. And if anyone thinks they will not be obvious enough carry a WP cap/T-shirt/mug

Your credit card details are used solely to guarantee your reservation until the day your arrive. Your credit card will only be charged when you check out of the hotel. Therefore, you can book the hotel right now, if you so wish. Your card will only be charged on the 1st of June.

Their might be a video of me and the band I'm in up on Youtube before May  Failing that, the way to notice me is that I'm the one you'll never notice 8)

Isn't that you in your avatar, Lotusblossom? I often wondered whether it was you or Kate Bush when young?

Why does it have to be at the end of May? can't it be more in June instead, so more people have time off? Going back and forth to France over a weekend seems a bit unnecessary.

What is stopping you organising a meet up for those who have June free and don't want to be bovered "going back and forth to france"? Realise that what is the most convenient for you is the least convenient for everybody else. Meet in the middle.

After long discussions, we had decided it will be at the end of May. It is too late to change it now.
You are invited to join the discussions about the London meeting, which still doesn't have a fixed date.
Date discussion: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt91124.html
Venue discussion: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt91630.html
