I dislike having medical appointments, and sitting in waiting rooms. There is always somebody there that likes to sneeze outright, and make no attempt to cover their nose with a tissue or handkerchief. And the coughing, runny nosed kids. I've got to go to another appointment on Monday. I 'll be sure to take along my hand sanitizer!
I hate going to doc appointments too. First, I am not a schedule type person, so I'm always late. Second, you wait in the waiting room forever so you can go back to the room to wait forever on the doctor. Third, I usually have my kids with me, even when I'm sick, and it's just a hassle to take them places that aren't necessary. So, what do doctors do about this problem? They first require you go to visit, even for simple things like a skin rash where they can't just call in the RX for the cream you have used for years from another doc but since they didn't get to bill you for that visit, they require you to come in so they can bill you for it. And if they are lucky, you will catch something from another patient so you have to go back. Then, they drag out every illness into as many appointments as possible. Which is also why you are constantly waiting because they increase their visits with all patients. If you have something that's not the flu, then they don't know how to fix it or what to think about it, so then they need tests done, so thats another x amount of visits to other doctors or labs or hospital, and then 2 years later, they still have no idea what is wrong with you or how to handle it. So then you research it and find a name for whatever it is that ails you, but then, as usual, there's not much they can do about it. Unless it's a bacterial infection, they can't fix it. So there's really no point in it in the end except to get any pills you think you need. What's even better? Oh, I need my annual pap or visit a dermatologist, so now let's increase visits by health insurance companies forcing you to go to a family clinic just to get the referral, which is costing them more money to do it that way anyway, but who cares? It's just all the more to make health care less affordable.
Basically, there still is no cure for stupidity.
