Sorry for creating another thread... but I couldn't find a similar question.

Is there any website that list adult autism benefits given at the state level? I have been able to find any good links or articles about the best states for people with autism to live, based on their services.

Oregon. Why I think so:

(1) You don't have to pay a medicare premium. The state pays for it.
(2) You can get a free additional insurance program, through the state of Oregon, that pays all your medical co-pays and whatever medicare doesn't.
(3) With AS, if you don't do well on a "functional IQ" test, you can get "brokerage services," meaning that YOU hire people to take you places, clean your place, cook for you, etc. There's a list of 24 services and a personal agent to help you decide and manage it all.

*My functional IQ was 60. My reg IQ (verbal) is 131.. However, since my FIQ was under 70, I get #3

(4) Bus travel training
(7) Easy eligibility for section 8 and apartments with rental supplements to lower expenses. Easy section 8 process. I may qualify and I only moved here 5 months ago.
(8) AS/HFA adult support groups with 24 members.
(9) FREE social skills classes and social outings.

Can anybody's state beat this?

(of course, some of this only applies to Eugene, OR, where I live)

I am kind of thinking long term about moving out of Kentucky at least for a few years.. this is the reason for this question. Anyone know about adult autism benefits in Montana, Colorado, or Wyoming?
