Trying to find info on people with AS and suicide.

I want to try and find numbers to see number of people that have AS that have tryed to kill themselves or have killed themselves. Not sure where to start looking. I want to see if suicide is higher in people with AS then NTs. I'm feeling suicidal myself right now.

Social isolation is a researched risk factor for suicide. Yes suicidal thought and attempts are higher in the AS population than in the NT. That means we as aspies got to stick together as a community and give each other a hand that pulls us out isolation and anchors us in a community and helps experience the fun things in life.

I'd say the rate is far here, many are depressed, (something like 80% of people said they were depressed in a poll here) and you would assume suicidal thought would be more common, and hence the suicide rate is higher

Yeah, Id say the suicide rate is way higher in people with AS. Lack of social skills leads to lack of friends and social interactions, which leads to feeling depressed, which leads to suicidal thoughts.
