Yes. Meltdowns* and their association with depression were what pushed me into hunting down answers that ended with autism spectrum. The flood of adrenaline and whatever else hits me during a meltdown also leaves me exhausted, often for days or more.
*I didn't even know what they were, just that sometimes my logical brain would go completely offline and I'd go wildly socially inappropriate. Lizard brain flight/fight. Fear seems to be my main trigger, but lots of things = fear.
