where would I go to get diagnosed?
I went to a pyschologist before but all he did was flipping talk about himself and his kids. I was there to be serious, but all he would do is use humor, and eventually he told my parents I was childish for my age, we did not even have a serious conversation and he truly did not know me!
Well I posted this because I want to know a general place to get diagnosed. I think I have AS, but am not sure, aswell as that I think I have maybe OCD, ADD, Echolia or Schizophrenia. I don't want any humor or random talking, I just want to straight up tell them about myself, take my tests, and get diagnosed.

He might have talked like that to figure out how you respond to conversations and humor appropriately?

wow, that sounds horribly tedious and unhelpful
I just spent a month tracking down how to get a full assessment, and found that I need to go see a neuropsychologist. best place to start looking for them, it turns out, is with your insurance company because some plans cover them as mental health care office visits, so finding an in-network one will save me about $1000. when you call, ask if they assess adults on the autism spectrum. many don't, but some do.
if insurance dead-ends, ask any of the people you talk to if they know of any neuropsychologists who assess adults. I found several out-of-network that I would have gone to see as they sounded quite familiar with adult AS issues and gave me some very good information.

talking to a psychiatrist may or may not help. depends on their specialty, just like a psychologist. I started with my psychiatrist, who gave me a quick survey from the DSM-IV (basically just confirmed my therapist's dx) and suggested I go to a psychologist because assessing AS was outside his area of expertise. it was from that point that I went on my quest for someone who could assess, and ended up with the neuropsychology department of a local hospital.
my sister is taking my youngest niece to see a neurologist for assessment as she suspects PDD (possibly AS) for her.
the exact difference between a psychiatrist and psychologist, I don't know.

A psychiatrist prescribes medication and doesn't need a psychology degree.
A psychologist can't prescribe medication (at least in most places) but needs the degree.
I believe that is accurate or close to accurate.
When looking for a psychiatrist or psychologist, look for two things:
(1) Expertise in ASD's
(2) Board certification
With both, it doesn't matter which you go to.
