I do - I take aripiprazole for anxiety (mainly used for schizophrenics), melatonin to sleep, certain asthma medications, and sertraline (anti-depressants).

I take a few others as well, but they're mostly homeopathic.

i used to be on ADDerall...I am currently missing it. I self-medicate a lot of different herbs but they don't help too much with my executive dysfunction.. Adderall did, but the long term side effects were awful.

Yes. I take Anafranil for my OCD/anxiety, Lamictal for my AS mood swings, and Klonopin (as needed) for panic attacks.

I was on SSRI's for twelve years and went off them 5 months ago. I am doing ok. THis five month period is the first time since age 13 i am completely free from any medications or drugs or alcohol.
It has been very hard but I am doing ok. I am exercising, eating well, and basically building a meaningful and cosy rut to live in which revolves around my special interest. (always my special interest....) I am even seeing people now - who come to visit.

I was on paroxetine for about 8 months once. I had an initial affect, got me out of that particularly bad state but since it's ment to take a while to work I guess it was just a placebo affect. After that, no obvious improvement. However, it did have some strong psychological side affects so I stopped eventually.

I sometimes think I should give them another go but I'd have to be particularly careful.

I'm on loxapine and it doesn't do anything to me. Maybe it takes away my "black holes"... a psychotic depressive anxious thing... but now that I prayed for everyone and know that everyone is saved, I don't need it anymore, though it's still nice to have it. I also take Prozac, even though I'm supposed to be just taking the loxapine. The shrink says he wants me to keep taking the loxapine even though it doesn't do anything to me, good or bad.

I used to take tablets to help me sleep and medication for my OCD was once kinda recommended, but that's it.
