A weird suggestion...
Hey. I was trying to write something about myself, and a my condition(s). But, as we know, aspies tend to focus on detail to the point that the bigger picture is lost. And I've noticed a lot of us aren't very good at answering general questions (tell me about you, ect.). Would any kind soul come up with a few questions that, when answered, give a decent overview of oneself. I would try it myself, but I have an apalling lack of mental clarity and working memory lately, I can't really thing out anything
Of course, this wouldn't solely be intended for myself, it might be pretty handy for anyone else who wants to understand themselves more.

You might want to have a look at the questions I posed in the interview threads I posted some time ago. Search the words "millie" or "acacia" in the subject line and you'll get to them.

That's a difficult one, especially not knowing who the target readers are. I will try to think of some off the top of my head that fall within the realm of development and conditions.
- When did you first notice your symptoms/differences?
- Did you reach your early developmental milestones on time?
- Where were you born? What is your family background? Have you moved a lot?
- How did your differences impact your experiences at school/college/the workplace?
- Do your traits run in the family?
- Do you have many friends/family members? What is the quality of these relationships like?
- Have you experienced much abuse or bullying?
- What are your interests and how have they changed over time?
- What talents and abilities do you have?
- Are you mostly introverted, extroverted, or in between?
- Do you find social situations difficult? If so/not, please provide examples.
- Have you ever had any phobias?
- How are your sleeping patterns, eating patterns and general physical health?
- Do you have plans for the future?
- How does your condition(s) fluctuate on a daily basis?
- Do you have any sensory hypo/hypersensitivities?
- What are your coping strategies?
- What kind of support do you have/would you like?
- What kind of thoughts and behaviours do you have when you are very happy or very depressed?
- Do you experience obsessions or become intensely focused on activities?
- How prone to distraction are you?
- What do you like and dislike about yourself?
- Do you have a tendency to procrastinate?
- How often do you experience anxiety, depressive, and euphoric states?
- Which symptoms do you find disturbing and why?
- Do you have strengths in verbal and/or visual-spatial areas?
- Do you have keen senses and perceptions?
- Do you have strong likes and dislikes?
- What character traits do you value in yourself and others?
- Do you have a strong ethical code?
- Do you have difficulty relating to others?

It sounds to me like he's trying to come up with a script for those times when people are asked to briefly describe themselves, like in a job interview or when an instructor asks everyone to introduce themselves to the group. I've always hated those moments myself. I tend to just give a few basic facts -- name, age, academic major/ professional experience (whichever's relevant). I figure if anyone wants anything further, they can ask specific questions. Everyone else in the group seems happy to rattle on about stuff that really isn't relevant to the situation. Of course, as a therapist once pointed out, most people actually like to talk about themselves.
Thanks a million outlier That list must have took a while to type, I really appreciate it
If you would like to, go ahead. S'all good
I'd like to understand myself better, I know the basics about myself, but I could never think of the right questions to ask about myself, and my condition. In a while I'd like to put a video up on Youtube, talking about my condition. I know they're 10 a penny, but many of them cover "vanilla Aspergers" (if there is such a thing), and I have many co-morbities, including schizophrenia, which afaik is rarely diagnosed alongside with AS (which I find a little weird, as Schizophrenia largely revolves around sensory problems (hallucinations), and AS also contains sensory issues, so perhaps they overlap a little), but my AS and Schizophrenic symptoms are separate and pronounced. I thought it might be interesting to go over how the conditions overlap for me, as my "case" is probably pretty unique.
