Hi, my 45 year old boyfriend was diagnosed in the last few years with Asperger's. He's having a crazy-hard time finding anyone to understand him and help him as far as doctors. They all keep throwing meds at him and none of them are working and he's gone into crisis mode. He's now unemployed and that adds to his stress and anxiety as well as the fact that he no longer has insurance. he's been paying for these doctors out of pocket and is down to no money and has gotten no relief or help. If anyone knows medical specialists in the mpls area who might work on a sliding scale and also employment placement services for adults with Asperger's please let me know. I am desperately trying to help with solid and results-oriented leads. I'm new to all of this and am wading through link after link, so a referral would be good.

Thank you.

Autism Society of Minnesota They are located in the Raymond/University area of St. Paul. Phone # is (651) 647-1083.

Dr. Barbara Luskin is very good in her work with adults with ASDs. They also have an adult support group that meets on the 4th Thursday of every month.

Hope this helps.
