I think that this is a valid subject to discuss

However the poll that is in the forum is out of a statistical view not valid

because there are not even paces in the scale.

This poll uses IQ with formula mean x =100, s=15

if you use another scale please convert to this by measure the percentage


100=50% below

115=85% below

130=97.5% below

145=99.75% below

If I actually had the math skills to respond to this poll I would. I can't even look at the questions without feeling like I am about to have a seizure.

I honestly couldn't respond, I suck at math and it's been so long since I had an official IQ test that I really can't remember the results. Even now I doubt I'd have the concentration to be able to do one except the ones online and those vary in results a fair bit, somewhere between 111-130. I don't find that too reliable. *laughs*

i have no idea how to work this one out, either.

Just say what IQ scores you've gotten in the past. That's all the formula means. 100 is the average score. 115 to 130 is above average. 130 to 145 is in the superior range. and 145 and above is considered either the broad spectrum of continued Superior, or Genius.

My IQ score has ranged from 132 to 142 on various tests, a couple of them the WISC and WAIS.

This last time (a very bad day full of anxieties) I was tested at my lowest: 132, with a Verbal IQ of 138 and a Performance IQ of 117. So there is a 21 point deviation between my Verbal and Performance, Verbal being the higher. Which is fairly common for an Aspie I think.

Um, am I the only one to notice there is no survey option for exactly 145?

The system makes sense to me... it's just not quite properly constructed, which I noticed because the one time I was (informally) tested, I got 145.

My IQ has been all over the place depending on whether, or not I am in the mood to actually take a test. My doc says my intellect is unmeasurable.

Looking at the pattern of poll choices it appears the final choice should read ">=145" and you should select that option if your IQ is exactly 145.

I have an IQ of 148 by the WISC-III, I'm told that is the 99.98th percentile.

My full-scale IQ, as measured on the Weschler Adult Intelligence Survey-III (WAIS-III), was 116 in 2002. My verbal IQ was 134, but my performance IQ was only 94.

It has been a couple of decades since I was given an IQ test by a doctor. My mom doesn't remember the scores, but she says my verbal scores were a lot higher than my performance ones. I don't see any point to even considering the online tests I took as being accurate.. I can take the same one 4 times and get totally different results each time, though the times I actually finished one I was between 123 and 140.

I don't know what that formula doohickey is all about, but I generally score around 141.

160 even, though far from uniform. When broken down into skill catergories, my scores ranged from 60-200+.
