Greetings, I have a question to ponder... Does anyone detect " metalic air " or the smell of rain long before it rains? i live in the country, but I definitely can smell metal or a static-smell when I'm outdoors..Just curious. Thanks for your feedbacks..Peace......

I can smell it. Especially in the summer time here in Albuquerque you get the smell of wet dust which has a metallic edge to it. I love it!

Regarding the smell of rain, it's not really uncommon. A lot of people can smell rain. It is really nice.

Yes, alot of people can smell rain, but I refer to several hours before it actually does rain. Also, the metallic air, even on a dry day is aware to me... What does that mean? The static electricity in the air, is that common for everyone?Peace...

I can smell the rain coming, and it as you described a static feeling for me. Sometimes it's so harsh that my teeth hurt or tingle. I have no idea why though :?

This is one of the reasons I hate natrual gas in homes with it I can almost always smell it. My tolerance for the smell is very low and I alway think they have gas leaks.
On another note I get almost a buzz from big air pressure changes I get all gittty and excited during storms.

i can smell rain in the air. it doesn't smell metallic though. it smells kind of grey and wet. in the summer sometimes it smells blue/clear or like sunshine.
