There are 2 movies released in the US in the last 20 days that deal with aspergers - Adam (dir: Max Mayer) and Paper Heart (dir: Nicholas Jasenovec).
Has anyone seen them? Can someone tell us what they are like, how realistic the depiction etc.?

I read the info for Paper Heart, and no where does it specifically say a character has Asperger's Syndrome. Maybe we're assuming because they are searching for what love truly is that they have AS. I don't think this is the case. They are just searching for the meaning of something that even NTs sometimes can't grasp. I, of course, am an Aspie, and love is understood between me and my husband. He has helped me get insight into what love is.

Nowhere is it mentioned that a character in Billy The Kid has aspergers. Compare its trailer with that of Adam. Which character would you think AS really applies to?

It's not mentioned in the trailer, but it is known that Billy has been diagnosed with Asperger's (after the completion of the documentary though). Just google "Billy the Kid Asperger's".

What I read about Billy the Kid = WOW THIS IS IT
A documentary about an undiagnosed AS kid by a director who wondered why he was sitting alone.

So did you compare the two movie trailers that I mentioned, or did you miss the point of my post entirely?

I've heard about Adam a million times but I didn't know there was another aspergers movie too. I'll have to read up on that one.

Hi MartyMoose,
I'm from India and I have a hard time following American accent. I generally do a lot of lip-reading (even for Indians) to understand what they're saying. Do you have a written/typed version of your review, or maybe a video? With lip-reading I'll be able to understand what you're saying :)
