Ever since I was a young girl, climbing is something that has come rather easy to me. I remember easily climbing trees as well as on the outside of jungle gyms. I love to rock climb and am quite good at it. I very quickly ascend up the walls and it's something I've always grasped very easily. This is probably because I have an inordinate amount leg strength and love to strategize. I also like doing so in nature, ascending steep hills using anything I can to get to the top. I can also easily run up steep slopes.

I'm a natural at it too, which is odd because I can't run gracefully at all. It might have something to do with my tendency to visualize things 3-D. Too bad I have very weak arms and can't lift myself up by my arms... that is apparently a problem a lot of women have, though, so at least I'm not alone.

Yes, we are together in our wimpy-armsness. *sob*
I like to climb and scramble around in the woods too~~
But I can't do a pull-up.. at least not without much struggle and kicking. >_<;;;;;

When i was a kid i was great at climbing, and i have pretty good balance. I loved to walk across trees that had fallen down, climb on branches, and climb on top of the monkeybars at the school playground. I got minor scrapes and cuts a lot from this stuff, but never got any kind of serious injury that required a doctor.. So i was pretty good at it. But, at the same time, i've always had my clumsy moments when my attention wanders and i stop thinking about whatever it is i'm physically doing.

I love to rock climb, but I'm physically unsuited to it (read: out of shape and badly overweight)

I'm good at climbing. I only discovered it last year at a team building afternoon with work at an indoor rock climbing centre. I'd never done it before and was expecting to be useless, but amazingly I was the best person there and found I could scramble up with ease. I was thinking of going back again and taking it up as a hobby, but with no one else to go with I never did.

Yes.

See name.

I can climb anything. I started when I was 2. My mother was constantly pulling me off furniture. At 3 I climbed an embankment onto a highway. I've been climbing mountains ever since. I've climbed worldwide.

Piece of cake.

I was a little monkey. I climbed everything. Trees, buildings, rocks. Very methodical. The 3-toed sloth is my favorite animal. If you see them climbing they seem so slow but if you look away, and then back where you think they should be a little later, they are actually much higher, because they are continuously moving, rather than scampering. I guess that's a little off topic. Oops.

I also really liked rock hopping, and didn't have any of the time-lag sensory processing problems I have in other activities. I think it's direct reflex and muscle memory. No brain involved <grin>.

I've been thinking about joining my local indoor climbing gym. You've inspired me.
