List any kind of diagnosis, mental or medical, you have: how old or what year, and professional or self diagnosed.

I have been diagnosed with a lot of things mainly mental because I have always been nuts
1. Autism (obviously that's why I'm here) in 1988 officially, thats when I was 5 years young but had symptoms shortly after birth it wasn't common back then
2. Schizophrenia/ bipolar/ schizoaffective- first diagnosed back in 1996 (13 years young) that's when I had my first psychotic break but they didn't know which one of these it was and in 2007 I was diagnosed with schizoaffective again
3. Anxiety (GAD) 1996 or earlier
4. Depression 1996 or earlier (this was also when I was suicidal for the first time, 13 was hell for me that was because of the severe bullying thats why all these diagnoses back then, most of these re diagnosed in 2006/2007
5. DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) diagnosed in 2007 but I don't think I have this anymore I only switch personalities when I am in new situations I also had a lot of trauma in the 90's.
6. High blood pressure diagnosed in 2000
7. fibromyalgia don't remember year but its been a long time
All these were diagnosed by professional doctors, none were self diagnosed

I was diagnosed with depression, OCD and trichotillomania when I was 18. When I got the AS-diagnosis this past month I also got trichotillomania (again) and Tourette's syndrom. The first time it was a child/youth psychologist, recently two AS-specialists - psychologist and psychiatrist. I did selfdiagnose before that though.

1977: 0 year: born 2 weeks early, the smallest on the ward. Asymmetricality in face. Strabism.

1984: 7 years: leftsided amblyopia. Bilateral abducens paresis or Bell’s palsy (I think it’s only leftsided).

1988: (Still 10 years): teachers and school doctor had become so worried about my lack of interest in the other kids that they sent me to a child psychiatrist so I could “get help lower my barriers and get social contact”. School doctor and teachers also testified to my being motorically clumsy with trudging movements, which is as official diagnosis of dyspraxia as I’ve gotten.
All through elementary school they were after me for daydreaming, keeping to myself, being too quiet and showing no will to cooperate.

1992: 14 years: Diagnosed with asthma and several allergies. Chronic eye infection.
Had problems with excema. Also, my skin is extremely dry.

Ca 2005-2006: 28-29 years: Selfdx’ed with AS.

Early this millennium ca 2002, aged 24, more allergies were added.

2009: 31 years: Officially diagnosed with AS.

Still only self dx’ed with dyspraxia, dyscalculia, some degree of prosopagnosia and IBS. I also wonder if I have ADD.

I constantly have the sniffles, always have. I've also had problems with head aches since age 6, it got worse after puberty.

A few weeks ago: Inattentive ADHD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depressive Disorder NOS.

Before that, i don't remember anyone giving me any specific diagnoses. But everyone was saying Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and sometimes Social Anxiety Disorder, and Depression.
And, i don't know how official it was, but a psych test i took for voc rehab about three years ago had results of "Personality Disorder NOS, Anxiety Disorder NOS, and Depressive Disorder NOS"... real specific, right?. Blah, i don't think they did much but put the personality answers through the machine and see what it spit out. But i was always very confused, because professionals kept throwing around these different disorder names, but never really gave me a concrete diagnosis and said "here. you have THIS." I think that, in itself, caused a lot of anxiety for me. I wanted a name and a definition.

Hayfever and various other allergies, allergy-induced-asthma, IBS, severe PMS and AS all professionally diagnosed.

I seem to suffer a bit with depression and anxiety but I just consider that to be part and parcel of AS.

1982: diagnosed as atypical autism
1999: diagnosis was changed to Asperger's syndrome
1999: depression, anxiety, OCD
2000: Irritable bowel syndrome, Asthma, adult onset growth hormone deficiency(result of psych medication risperdal)
2001: Overactive bladder, bladder incontinence(bed wetting)
2003: sleep apnea
2006: type 2 diabetes(caused by seroquel)
2006: rectal prolapse (rectum came out of my butt and a lot of it was removed and the rest sewn back together to my colon)
2008: Slow transit constipation
2008: Had my entire colon removed as result of slow transit constipation, attached to my rectum(or whats left of it)
2008: bowel incontinence(50% of time)
2008: food intolerance (lactose, fructose, gluten, wheat, MSG, Eggs)
2008: no longer had diabetes type 2 and no signs of insulin resistance, due to coming of seroquel and all psychiatric medications
2008:sleep apnea was due to the weight that I gained on the medications, and the apnea diagnosis was taken away
2009: Found that I never had depression, anxiety and/or OCD. OCD was because of my Asperger's interest and the depression and anxiety was reactions and situational due to being misunderstood by family, and put into day agencies, residences and treatments that were not appropriate
2009: stomach GI issues

Basically, I only have Asperger's, food intolerance, bowel/bladder incontinence issues (50%-60% of the time), stomach GI issues(not related to surgeries).

I found this leaflet off Oaasis quite interesting:

http://www.oaasis.co.uk/file.axd?pointe ... 37dedb4890

It's got a diagram that shows all the conditions that seem to be related to ASDs.

I find it strange that seemingly physiological conditions like allergies, asthma and bowel/bladder problems are related to ASDs.

I think that we suffer from generalised hypersensitivity and think that AS itself is like a combo between anxiety, depression, ocd and adhd.
