Is it a aspie trait to feel little attachment to no attachment to most people. But have a over attachment to a very select few and I really do mean over attachment, more then other people seem to experience. I have read aspies can be over attached to inanimate objects what about pets?

I'm the opposite. I get extremely attached to certain people.

There are 4 things/people I couldnt deal/cannot deal with being without to the point where I can get EXTREMELY upset just thinking about it. My parents, my cat (but shes gone :-( ) and my stuffed toy dog (which sounds lame). When I was a kid I read a book about a little boy that had a stuffed dog called woof (mines woof woof) orginal, I know and the boy in the story lost the woof). I was inconsolable, just the idea that it could happen to me was enough.

I am attached to my children. I love my bf, but am pretty indifferent as to whether he is around all the time or not.

I can be extremely attached to inanimate objects... when my computer goes awry, it's always an instant meltdown... when my car quit working, meltdown (that lasted a few weeks on/off)... if a picture I've been working really hard on drawing wise is messed up, I cry... MOURN for the thing.

I'm super-attached to my Mum and a bit less attached to my Dad and sis

No one else really though. I like my Mac too :)

My youngest is so attached to our dog that he'd have it in a 24 hour headlock (cuddle) if we didn't keep interfering.

For the dog's sake and comfort, we impose strict limits on the amount of time he can spend with her.

Yh, Macs rock, mine is loved but a bit battered, and full works great tho!

The attachment is severe to the point that my Mac even sleeps by my pillow (I really shouldn't admit to that lol) 

I've always had a tendency to become really attached to inanimate objects. This makes me a bit of a pack rat, though not as much now as when I was little. I can open my closet now without being crushed by a pile of stuffed animals and outgrown clothes. My sister picked up this trait from me; even at 13 she gets all teary when objects get destroyed in movies.

As for living things, I'm attached to my mom and cat, somewhat less attached to my sister, and not attached to my dad or any of my assorted relatives.

I've always been able to get very strongly attached to a small number of people. I've always felt very close to my pets too, and to some inanimate objects.
