I tend to get stressed out over the tiniest things, and I find that I cannot stop thinking about them. Does anyone else get stressed out over insignificant things?
It's as if whatever handles my anxiety in my brain is super sensitive. I try to tell myself that it is silly to worry over such things, but that doesn't always work.

Yes. Issues like choosing what to prepare for dinner cause me great anxiety. Also, when I have to try anything new in life where I have to make a decision by myself I get all uptight.

I don't really have an intense dread or fear of anything, it's more just a feeling of uncomfortable tenseness, a tension that never completely goes away. The only time I can totally relax is when I'm in my room on my computer by myself. In all other settings I notice some amount of unease. I've also always been incredibly sensitive and keenly aware of all forms of bodily discomfort. Often I feel like I can't be comfortable in my own skin and it hurts just being alive.

Insignificant by whose definition?

Answer to your question - yes.

Interestingly, my wife and Psychologist have been taking notes on me, they only a couple months or so ago told me about it; and for me it does indeed follow the moon phases.
Full moon and new moon are times I have stress effects to a greater degree than other times.

I hate decision making and find them to be stressful so I would rather have people pick for me. I usually have pasta if I pick. I also hate Christmas shopping because of this so I quit. My husband does all of it. Wedding was the worst and I was more prone to meltdowns and I had more anxiety. My husband dealt with my abuse.

But I have gotten better over the years about worrying over nothing. I could worry about right now about what if someone doesn't hire me after getting the pink slip this week. It's not a real pink sleep, I am finishing my training this week and they call it firing. Then my name goes on the waiting board and a company picks your name randomly if they want you. I am trying not to worry about money. We have so much in our account we don't even need to budget but that doesn't mean we can spend spend spend.

I second that one! Anxiety is constant for me. It's my only relatively accurate emotional gauge. More usually means negative emotion and less means positive emotional state.

I find something to develop severe anxiety over every minute that last me months...

...and the things you read about in the news lately REALLY dont help make it better. :P

Christmas shopping for adults sucks. I have no clue what to get and I hate shopping when I don't have a specific item in mind. At least kids always have something specific they want.

I hate shopping for christmas gifts! I never know what to get and fear they won't like it. Causes anxiety even after i buy it.

I get stressed over the littlest things. Not every little thing, but certain things. And what most people get stressed over, like their bills, cutoff notices, money problems, i don't get stressed about them at all. Weird.
