First of all i must ask you to excuse my english..not my first language

I'm 23. I scored high in every "aspie test" i had taken on internet(77 neurotypical/133 ASPIE ,38 AQ) but i have social phobia and social awkwardness too and i found those test unreliable

WHY i think i could have Asperger:

I have serious social problem, when i was a children and adolescent my peers always used to treath me like i was "weird" and i didn't know why ...they used to ridiculize my speak and my gesture.....except some close friend i was marginalized and psycologically bullied in every school

I have above Average IQ(in 120-130 range) but my EQ is <65

I learned to speak much earlier than average baby

I had always good grade in the subject i liked(es. math) and hard time in the subject i didn't care (i refused to do Art)....i drop outs two years before high school degree because the anxiety was too high

I have very strong obsession:the subjects of those obsession vary during time by I usually find hard to DON'T THINK about these thing....i can easily distract at work thinking , i can lose or take the wrong bus because i'm "in my world" thinking about those

I have a "bizzarre" love for Tournament schedule or Trains schedule and i love games with a tons of statistics

Sometimes i have very hard time to follow verbal order or understand what people say directly to me...most time i need they repeat the same thing 2-3 time before "i get it"

I have a good memory for date, number and list but often forgot to do thing and at work/outside my house usually I avoid to separate myself from my cellphone,my jacket,my pickpocket or the % to lose them are high

I can get overstimulated.....often I literatelly needs to jumping around my rooms or do some pathetic ritual

I trained myself to get eyecontact....for me is not natural

WHY I DOUBT TO HAVE ASPERGER:

-no motor development delay...when i was children i was somewhat uncoordinated and clumsy but not "ret*d"

-I have read asperger hate sports or are bad at them...i loved play in an basketball team and i was a good soccer/football goalkepeer and very good on long jump

-i really don't know if i really get social clues or not...however i think to recognize faces and other emotion in someway

tell me you thought

Welcome!

Stay a while--you'll learn more about yourself even if you're not an Aspie (but especially if you are).

Welcome to the forum. I think it sounds like you may have Asperger's, but then again I am new at this.

A couple of things regarding what you said: "motor development delay" actually, many Asperger's people start walking quite early. I started at 9 months old. We just tend to fall a lot. :) Most of us are very clumsy and spend their childhood with their legs covered in bruises. No real "retardation", as you put it; but Asperger's usually makes you walk and move a little differently, a little off... many can't ride a bike (me included). But I was a good goalie, and could swim and ride horses well. I also loved Basketball (in theory), but rarely made a point. I still look like a spaz when I run, and walk like a tall penguin.

Regarding social clues, it's not that we don't "get" them -- we eventually learn to look for them. Well, some of us do, anyway. I try to pay attention if people are doing some of the clues that I know mean "oh will she ever shut up". But the difference is, I wasn't always that way. It took me years of training. Memorizing the expressions and cues, really. Not instinctive; rational. I think that is the main difference. Every year, and the more I have contact woith people, the best I get at picking up cues and hints. But... I should have learned that when I was 6.

I read somewhere that, if you think you may have Asperger's, you probably have. So, what do you think?

Either way, welcome :)

seek professional advice and perhaps a diagnosis, it is the only way to find out for sure what your condition is, or even if you have a condition at all. do not rely on a self-diagnosis or unqualified opinions. there are many disorders that encompass the symptoms you described.
