Have you been diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis? It's been proven that TSC can be a cause of Autism. TSC only happens in about 1/6000 people though. I'm just surprised that there are only a couple posts with mention of Tuberous Sclerosis when I used the search function.

For those not familiar with the disorder, it’s a gene mutation that causes tumors. They can be found in the brain, heart, lungs, skin, and kidneys. Some tumors occur in the affected organs at different times of development. The tumors in the brain prevent natural brain formation and can cause mental retardation, autism, and seizures.

So… Has anyone here been diagnosed with TSC?

Wikipedia says approx. 43% of TSC have autism. That makes a total of 1:13950 in the general population with ASD+TSC. Since 1:100 of the general population have autism, then for every person here with TSC+Autism, there should be about 140 who have Autism alone. That is not counting into the math whether the proportion of TSC+Autism population who do not use a computer is larger than the proportion of Autism without TSC who do not use a computer.
