Getting on WP from public locations

Do you access WP from public locations?
Yes, even on a public terminal 30%  30%  [ 8 ]

Does anyone get on Wrongplanet from public locations, whether it's on a public computer or on their laptop from a public wifi, such as an internet cafe?

Personally I tend to avoid doing so. I actually couldn't get on WP in high school, since their network had a blanket ban on internet forums regardless of topic. Now that I'm in college I can get on WP from our student union building and in class, but I only do so when there's a minimal chance of eavesdroppers. After all, most everyone at Uni is in the dark about my diagnosis, and being on WP would be somewhat of a giveaway.

I've gone public about my AS, so no problem using WP from work, even. Only problem is finding work.

I don't use the internet in public locations, but if I did I probably wouldn't have a problem going to WP.

I do, but only from my own computer. I don't really use public computers much. I would probably use the computer I use at work as well and just delete the browser history when I'm done, but that computer only has dial up, so it's just easier to use my iPod touch when I want to check non-work related things. If I'm using my laptop from a public place, I usually sit in a spot where no one could actually look over my shoulder and see what I'm doing unless they actually made an effort to do so, in which case I'd have plenty of time to minimize or close the window.

No problems accessing it from anywhere, really, although I do have a tendency to look over my shoulder and minimize the gigantic "Wrong Planet" letters at the top of every page. I do wish the site were a bit subtler at times.

By the way, Roxas_XIII, I love your signature! That little web film made it into our household vernacular for several years!

I use my iPhone or work blackberry to read wp since my work is cracking down on non-business related surfing lol

I don't know the details, but I have heard that it is possible for someone to "eves-drop" when you use wi-fi hot spots.

I access it on library computers and public terminals, and when I was at uni I accessed it through the computers on campus.

I browse WP on my computer at work, which is connected to a server (I have one of those little terminal box thingies instead of a normal PC tower)
People walk past my desk and see me browsing but they don't know what site I'm on. I have WP saved in my bookmarks though, and I'm not sure if they can access my bookmarks folder from the main computer.
