I don't drink and choose not to because it's bad for your health.

I like the odd pint of Guinness, but I don't really drink that much. Tea is my poison of choice.

I don't drink at all. I don't see the appeal.

a hard one. Like everyone else I drink to escape conciousness. Sometimes it is more imprative that i do it than not.

I don't often drink to get drunk. Twice a year I get depressed that I have no friends, and no girlfriend. ANd probably will never have any friends and remain girlfriendless for the rest of my life. In those two (on average) periods per year I get drunk. The rest of the time I don't really drink that much. At most I'll have one or two drinks every few nights just to wind down after a tough day at work. But more often than not i'll do the same winding down with a glass of water and a bubble bather with my rubber duckies (see profile photo.)

I drink occasionally, 2-4 drinks once per week or so, but sometimes only once a month, depending. Usually with friends, but might have a couple of beers after work at home if it was a really grueling day. Seems for the most part that everyone I know drinks far more than I do.

I believe Oscar Wilde once said;

'There is only one thing in the world worse than being drunk and that is NOT being drunk'..............or was it Churchill.................or R****T Do**ey Jr, or perhaps George Bush?

I have a drink MAYBE once a year, if I am at a party and there is nothing else to drink. I don't particularly like the taste of alcohol and have never been remotely close to being drunk...it doesn't appeal to me.

I don't drink. I think it is gross tasting. Although i don't mind a mudslide or something similarly sweet once in a great while.

Alcohol is anathema to me. The mere thought of consuming it is enough to put me into a nervous state. I avoid it like the plague and can't go near it, or anyone drinking it.

Now, I don't have anything against people that drink it, unless they let it basically rule their every waking thought. Just have massive mental control issues and anything that lessens that is simply anathema to me.

I'm aspie and I'll admit that I probably drink a little too much. I'm sipping a beer as I type this. I just love how alcohol usually makes me feel. Calm, outgoing and cheerful. It quiets my head down. Sometimes, however, alcohol will make me sad or rarely more stressed.

I do enjoy seeing that word used.

I used to think that I was spelled an athema.

Today I still THINK it should be spelled an athema or at least an anathema, but I suppose it would need to be a noun to be spelled like that.

I've looked up the meaning so many times but for some reason I can never remember what it means.

I suppose using the word anathema is...........an anathema to me

Haha. Basically it means an ultra weakness or nemesis. Kind of like Kryptonite for Superman, or logic and reason for fanatics and zealots.

And as Homer Simpson once sai,

"To alcohol: the cause of, and solution to all of life's problems."
