One thing I have noticed is that compared to other adults, I have very childlike hands....My fingernails have always been sorta short and flimsy and underdeveloped...I am heavily prone to hangnails.....My hands are very coarse and square, and not very feminine...I also have the masculine digit ratio...Doing anything to the nails...like painting them..which I can't stand...is like putting lipstick on a pig...
My mom said that when I was born, my hands and feet seemed underdeveloped...I was born almost a month early...so maybe that has something to do with it...
I was a toe-walker, and my feet are pretty small...if they weren't so wide, I'd comfortably wear a size 5....

My very ASish friend..on the other hand...Has very sinewy exquisitely developed hands....long fingers...big knuckles...um...and he has gender-issues...and a pronounced female digit ratio..

Wondering about other people's hands...

I have long fingers-- I have issues finding gloves that fit right because my hands aren't actually that BIG, my fingers are just long. So the gloves are either too big and fumble-y, or the fingers are too short.

I have long, thin fingers and usually have long nails. My nails are very strong; it's difficult to break them. My index and ring fingers are about the same length. I don't paint my nails very often, but on occasion I do.

I had an NT friend who had extremely small hands; they were literally half the size of mine.

Large veiny hands, and long fingers (I also have large feet/toes). Finger nails grow pretty fast, and get kinda sharp. The tips of my fingers bend up at my last knuckle at about a 30 to 45 degree angle, and I'm very hypermobile in my thumb (I bend it back to be perpendicular to my hand) as well as in both of my sholders. I also walked on my toes, and still do when I'm home and not wearing any shoes. And like Aimless, my ring finger is longer than my index finger. :)

This is my hand lying flat on my keyboard...

...I think - at 49 - I tend towards " babyish "-looking hands - Maybe it's at least part that I'm fat , but , even so...- maybe that's " another Aspieishness " ?

People have told me I should be a hand model. I have typical musician's hands with long fingers and really strong, well-formed nails. My ring fingers are longer than my index fingers but I've always thought digit ratio was bs since the same is true of my brother and mom and they're both as NT as it gets.

I have short fingers with big knuckles and wide palms. I have always had flimsey thin peeling nails, white marks on them(drs. said it is zinc deficiency), and speaking of hang naiils, I just remove one. My son has the same problem with thin nails. When he was born, his toenails were concaved inward. Now, there are quite rippled, as is his finger nails. He does not eat very well(wont eat veggies or fruit or unprocessed meats). He was also born with a bifid thumb on one hand.

I never cut my fingernails because they never grow long enough. :/ When I was a kid they grew sorta long... but I could never become like that lady with the world's longest nails, or even close! . I never compared my hands to more than my friend (who has fingers that are like 1cm longer than mine) .

But, I think my hands are proportionate to my height, since shorter people than me have smaller hands and taller people have larger hands, usually.

I've actually worked as a hand model for a jewelry company before. I have small hands (My ring finger is a size 4) with long slender fingers.
