I've been struggling with a lack of motivation to succeed. I always study a couple hours the morning before the test but never more than that. I don't really have motivation for things I don't "have" to do. It may have to do with depression. The last test I took I got an 87 on I only studied 2 hours the day before the test and would have had 93 if I never second guesed myself. Others said they studied anywhere from 4 days to 1-2 weeks for it. Most of the people I talked to scored below me on the test. The only thing saving me are my critical thinking skills and having an incredible rote meory. I have a 4.0 thus far, but I'm not going to keep it. I worked for the 4.0 just to enter a program but now that I'm in the motivation to do well is gone.

When you find your true passion (mine is web development), you will find your motivation. That may not be what you want to hear, and it may not happen for many jobs, but when it does, it feels great. :)

I know the feeling...

Maybe hang around with the neurotic workaholics in your class. My closest friends become unbearable in the run up to exams (often fretting that they haven't studied a particular teeny peice of trivia), but it does terrify me into starting revision (eventually).

I have AS, and I think my lil bro has AS traits. This is one of the things that we worry about concerning him. He has no motivation for anything. Absolutely nothing. He doesn't want to study, doesn't want to ever work, doesn't want anything. I have long been hoping he'll find the passion that might ignite his motivation. I haven't had the same problem as him myself, though, at least not nearly to the same extent.
