On the topic Female Aspie Traits it mention I think 9/10 had intestinal issues I just had my galbladder removed at 23!! !! ! (This is something seen in obese Mcdonald's eating people!! !! !!) Also I remember a topic here on WP that mention 1 leg being shorter than the other but don't remember the exact article link but from what I read from Google this is normal and has nothing to do with Autism what are your thoughts WP and do you think there are any TRUE physical issues with the Spectrum or AS specifically? Obviously motor skills/clumsiness falls into physical but otherwise I can't recall anything thanks WP! :-)

I've never heard of that, but I seem to recall reading that people on the spectrum often have digestive system troubles. I certainly do.

IME most of those can be attributed to stress and anxiety, as secondary fallout from the ASD.

Other than the differences in brain development, no. There are no exterior physical characteristics or physical health problems associated with AS.

A lot of people on the spectrum have trouble organising themselves and eating properly which leads to digestion/heart/diabetes problems in later life.

No problem with digestion here. I have relatively slow eye hand coordination though.

Everyone has one leg shorter than the other, usually not enough to notice. Bilateral symmetry is not perfectly symmetrical. :)

I had stomach trouble (upsets and distress) when I was younger back in the 60s, and I believe it was purely due to stress from coping with school, etc. No diagnosis, no help, of course!

Tourette's syndrome is often comorbid with AS. My AS was diagnosed in part because of investigations initiated because of my TS.
