My guess is 90+% will say NO! but I'm psyched for it I love seeing the deals and the ruckus is expected so it's fun IMO! My issue is normal busy days where you bump into people etc. during the holidays I expect more of a crowd. :-) YA BLACK FRIDAY! :-)

I traditionally participate in "Buy Nothing Day"..we conventionally go to a barter fair held at a Quaker meeting house where people all trade stuff and no money changes hands.

I'd rather peel off my own fingernails.

Hell no.

I do my Christmas shopping in August and September, when it's not crowded and still very warm outside (temps in the 90s and 100s).

I started a part-time retail job recently, so it's almost a given that I'll be scheduled to work that day. So I'll be making money instead of spending it that day. And in this economy, it's better to do that anyway.

I normally look at what's available online, but I refuse to go out and shop in the stores.

All of the so-called "best" deals are first thing when the place is mobbed anyways.

Pretty much.

I can't think of a more terrible day of the year. It's even worse than Christmas Eve.

I like the fingernail reference.

My usual response is, "I would rather take out my own eyes with a rusty spoon."

Never. I find it so ironic to celebrate the birth of a man who taught about the spiritual pitfalls of rabid consumerism by rabid consumerism. Santa Claus as we know it is probably one of the most brilliant marketing ploys of all time.

Absolutely not. That would be an awful idea with my set of issues. I get overloaded and flustered when surrounded by an excessive amount of noise and movement. I also have pretty significant vestibular (balance) and proprioceptive (sense of my own body in relation to other physical items around me, including people) difficulties. In other words, if I try to navigate those savage mobs, I'm going to die, or at least wind up seriously damaged, physically and psychologically. Any shopping I do that day will be on Amazon.com, from the safety of my computer. That's just me, though.

No way! I don't like getting overwhelmed easily by that! I'll probably do a week before then.
