i went to bed watching tapped(a documentry on bottled water) and woke up with one reacurring thought....rubber.if you weren't bottle feed then you prob. had a binkee(?). so i looked up the history of rubber and found it has been in use for longer than i thought, 1700's..?.
soon i discovered isoprene, was used starting around 1910?(the same used for rubber nipples today)

and a short history on baby bottles

in the late 1800's germany was at the top of the rubber indistry(?).

looking up the known neurotoxicity affects now but i thought i'd throw this out there, for the help of more informed people.....any help?

The proper word is"pacifier", not "binkee".

Rubber is just one of thousands of compounds that contain various potentially toxic chemicals that can be found in the every day environment.

Are rubber and other synthetic compounds toxic? Very possibly.

But it seems that your "hypothesis" is aimed at the idea that this toxicity is somehow responsible for autism. Now, by your own statement, a large number of people were bottle fed as infants and many more were given a pacifier; so most of the population was exposed to these toxic chemicals during infancy. In that case, if those toxins cause autism, why aren't there more of us? Many more of us...

I'm sorry, but your hypothesis just doesn't seem to fit the observed facts.

I have asperger's and never had a bottle or pacifier. In fact my parents were anti-plastic and we didn't even have cling wrap in the house growing up. Nor did we have plastic toys.

I think your argument is a tad flawed.

thank you
i didn't point to anyhing specific(i don't know enough,4hours is hardly reserch)
thanks solvejg, ur the type i wanted to hear from but read again....no arguement
i'm not saying any one thing is responsable, more a collective of many things.
i found a study that linked ocd and adhd to certain plastics and found it intersting,so i let my brain run.
i'm under the belive that labels don't cut it, untill we can map the chem. balance of people, there flying blind.

this is more of an intrest in neurotoixins, i find it funny that we use so many things that we have no idea what they are....electricity has to be my fav.
