Colored contacts bother me. I can't talk to someone who is wearing them.

How would you know they're colored contacts unless you already knew the original eye color? If asked, I couldn't tell you the eye color of many people I see often.

i know what you're saying. it bothers me too. i think contact-altered color looks artificial, and the eyes look really strange. anyway, why be ashamed of brown eyes? to me, brown eyes are more calming than bright blue eyes (but i think that has to do with familiarity rather than AS, since people with brown eyes are who i grew up with. :)

I love it too. I didn't want to post a picture of someone wearing colored contacts. I was going to but then I felt rude for doing it so I left it out.

Colored contacts creep me out.

I can tell because there is a layering look, like a chameleon effect that is spooky to me.

Good, you get it. It's not an AS thing. I used to have a hard time talking to people who wear mirrored sunglasses in the same way I have trouble talking to people with colored contacts. From far away they look cool, but up close is kind of off putting.

You should love your eyes, they are the windows to your soul. :D

I like to look at people's real eyes. It helps me to understand their true intentions. I'm not aspieish in that regard.

A few weeks ago I saw a story about prison inmates that have color-tattooed the whites of their eyes ... and that made me feel ill.

Yes. I was watching one of those "life behind bars" shows, and there are people who have tattooed the whites of their eyes to red, blue, black ...

Ugh.
