I NEED to get a job. Everywhere i look, there are job openings. Ok, not many as we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the US, but they are out there.

Almost every job i have looked at says excellent customer service skills. And then there's multitasking. Manager positions, team leaders. Or the usually, must have exp. I can learn a job just fine, but with no experience, thy aren't willing to teach. Ok, i don't have the $$ to go to school for anything specific. I need to get a job now. I use to work in manufacturing when i lived in the south. That was nice, but there doesn't seem to be those type of jobs here.

What other kind of jobs are there out there?

I would really rather open up a home business. But i don't know what to make to sell or just to sell. The thing is would really like to do is open a daycare center. This would be in addition to selling something out of the home. But first i have to make money to set something like that up and then i have to kick bf's idiotic mother out of the house. (that is being worked on).

I am just so clueless. My family says i need to just get out there and apply. I could and say i have these skills or that i can do it, but i can't! Especially socially and multitasking.

How about data entry? You don't have to deal with people, just sit there and type. Not a bad job if you have an active imagination and can entertain yourself with your thoughts.

If you really want a job you'll have to apply at 10 or more places. That's not an exaggeration. The sad truth is that the person doing the hiring doesn't really want you to be honest and be yourself, you just have to develop a rapport with them. Fake it 'til you make it.

I have done data entry before. It was a job i got through people. My typing skills suck though.

And as far as faking it, i can do that on the phone, i don't think i can in person if i did get the job. Then again, the grouchy or non talkative, no smilers who have a job must have done the same thing. I can't see them getting fired for not being friendly. Hmmm...have to think abou tthat one!

You could try looking for a position as a Warehouse Operative. Amazon are looking for temporary staff to fill in over the Christmas period. To my knowledge, the only socializing required would be discussions with your boss and communicating with suppliers.
