I just used that thread title because:
1)It's a quote I say for some reason
2)I'm obsessed with Harry Potter
3)I think Daniel Radcliffe (actor that plays Harry Potter) might have Asperger's Syndrome. I know he has Dyspraxia and there might be similar traits in both conditions.
4)I used to think I was so different that I actually was a wizard and I have been known to refer to NT's as muggles.
5)I thought people would read more then the thread title - oh that's right I said it *reeoww*
I think the only Aspie in the Harry Potter books is Neville Longbottom <3
You might be right about Radcliffe. I don't know about him well enough, and some actors are aberrations because they ARE treated differently, etc... "american" culture, as far as actors are concerned is contrary to how Radcliffe acts, but maybe british culture is different. Dyspraxia IS a possible comorbid of AS. They ALSO may have SIDs, ANOTHER possible comorbid. I have SIDs. As for Dyspraxia, I guess I have SOME symptoms:

[edit] Fine motor control
Difficulties with fine motor co-ordination lead to problems with handwriting, which may be due to either ideational or ideo-motor difficulties. Problems associated with this area may include:
*Learning basic movement patterns.
Developing a desired writing speed.
Establishing the correct pencil grip
Hand aching while writing
[edit] Whole body movement, coordination, and body image
Issues with gross motor coordination mean that major developmental targets including climbing affected. Problems associated with this area may include:
Poor timing.
*Poor balance (sometimes even falling over in mid-step). Tripping over one's own feet is also not uncommon.
*Difficulty combining movements into a controlled sequence.
*Difficulty remembering the next movement in a sequence.
Cross-laterality, ambidexterity, and a shift in the preferred hand are also common in people with dyspraxia.[citation needed]
Dyspraxics may also have trouble determining the distance between them and other objects.[citation needed]
* To a degree.
The writing differences were taken care of before 10yo. Heck, I decided to change my writing style only a couple years ago(I was over 40yo) to approach a writing speed I wanted.
I think those are the only things that I have that match dyspraxia, but it is a significant subset.
