I finally have some extra money, so i ordered one from dreamcatcher. It's going to be a 30 lb full-size(yes, i like being squished. and i'm not exactly a tiny person, either), and i'm getting a pattern with Cobras, Pythons, and Boas on the front and a snakeskin design on the back :D

I have always piled blankets on myself, long before I realized it might be due to sensory issues, always just said I was cold because it was easier to explain. I just found out about weighted blankets not too long ago and have been intrigued! It would be great to have the weight without the excess warmth from the dozen insulating blankets!

I like having many blankets on top of me, but I've never used a weighted blanket. I imagine I'd enjoy it.

My son has trouble getting to sleep. I bet that would help.

I voted "No." I sleep warm and don't like anything much over me. I also find pressure on me as intrusive.

I just ordered one. It's going to be great.

I remember being a little kid and begging my mother to pile encyclopedias on my back while I was lying face-down on the floor. I have always liked being squished and/or wrapped up tightly in something.

I got one of those blankets from Dreamcatcher to see what it was like. Strangely enough the most comfortable thing about it was the fact that it felt refreshingly cool because the weighted material helped conduct excess body heat.

I am torn. I like pressure, but I also like it cool in the bedroom...

But the sheets absolutely, positively MUST be tucked in at the foot of the bed. No exceptions. EVER!

I love my weighted blanket - it's the best thing I ever did for myself. I've seen myself almost in meltdown, I get under that weighted blanket and *instantly* I'm calm. I have no idea why it works but it does. Mine's made of cotton and filled with polyester pellets so it's not warm at all.

Now I gotta find a weighted jacket. They have them for children but not for adults, not so far anyway.

All of a sudden I think maybe I understand people who wear 2 or 3 coats.

I don't have one, but I plan to get one.

yea they do, check on ebay or www.southpawenterprises.com they do for adults, i wanted to get a jacket too, but know when u wear it, the weighted puts a lot of pressure on ur shoulders can cause pain if ur not use to it nor like it.

and i agree whenever im about to meltdown i run to my weighted blankets, such a life savior!

I don't have pressure issues, and don't own a weighted blanket.

No, they must be tucked under my feet, not under the mattress, or it drives me nuts!
I always sleep under blankets, even when it's hot.. maybe I should look into those weighted blankets.
