I've always identified with Mowgli pretty strongly, anyone else?

In what manner?

If you mean in the way that he was an outsider to his own species and preferred to hang out with animals then yeah, I can identify with him too. I'd much rather be in the company of my cat than that of society as society is, in my eyes, very non-sensical and mean, caring more for material things and popularity than that of actually giving a toss about others. My cat, on the other hand, is very loyal, affectionate and friendly, a little bonkers but that's what's funny about her. The Jungle Book was one of my many favourite childhood films.

As a little kid I would run around the house wearing only orange underwear (if available)..and pretend I was Mowgli...but if I wanted to be the baby elephant, I would walk on all fours with a sock dangling from my mouth for the trunk.

I put banana peels on my head pretending I was Mowgli. Mom used to take them off my head saying it makes my hair dirty. Leaving them off isn't going to keep my hair from getting dirty.

Have you read the book? The book's really good too. I still have my ancient copy of the Jungle Book complete with that old book smell and subtly playful voice I came to love in the just-so stories. For some reason old book smell just makes me feel good inside. I have no idea why.
