I have wondered if it is normal to think in 3rd person, an example would be, instead of thinking, I went to school today, I think Kai went to school today. When I think ahead of how I am going to act in future situations, I think of myself as basically a floating camera at any angle or a non-existent person examining the whole scene. I don't really know how to explain this too well, but does anyone else think like this?

Yes. It is like there is a continual narration running and I move in and out of the scene.

I notice that I dont allow myself to think in 1st person. Its automatically detected and "the other persons" take over, like:

Im going to have a meal, -"oh are you going to do that now?" -"Ok, then we go, so you dont starve".

I do sometimes...but not usually. So nah, I don't think in third person.
I like to imagine sometimes that there's someone sort of watching me live my life and commenting in it.

Got to say, I like to hear people describe their thought processes. People don't usually talk about that stuff and it's something I'm curious about.

Interesting. I was about to say I think in the first person, when I realized there isn't any narrative in which to use the first--or the third--person. Narrative is "heard" only when I am about to write something down or explain it to someone else. Otherwise my thinking is mainly images and the emotions connected to them.
