I am pretty sure I have AS, or at least in the early stages in my life I had more severe versions of AS.

I was told that I should be able to live and achieve my career goals in any conditions.

I don't entirely understand this. I was a subject of ridicule and bullying in a similar environment as the current environment I am in. I couldn't work for a boss, although I really like the work, because his personality, etc. remind me of the people whom I had very bad experience with.

Do you find yourself better off avoiding these people and environment in the first place? I could not control myself and make things better, unless I am very very happy with certain people. Can you help me understand this?

I went to a meeting/forum about learning difficulties etc once. The man said why do we expect children to be good all rounders, when as adults people often specialise in their jobs?

I think if you Google or talk to other people who've worked in similar environments or the same company you will find bullying, can be a common culture in some work environments.

My opinion is try and find a different area to use the same set of skills in, and a different environment.

Right. I was frequently told that it takes time to heal, and bad experiences tend to go away with time. They didn't go away with me.

I am wondering if it is me who was not able to letting them go. There are experiences in life that are just awful. The more you try to understand, the deeper you sink in.

Is it better to convince oneself that they never happened? I find it better to cope by thinking this way. If they come in the way of living, probably better to ask support from someone.
