I notice Jman's got the green. Whats going on here its like a revolving door with mods one in one out come one come all. Why not just make everyone a moderator that'l be amusing for a day everyone deleting and editting everyone elses posts and moving them everywhere.

Events here move faster then a toilet stop in rattlesnake country.

Also why are the majority of posts made by mods and admins? its like a bloody clique in here sometimes the green text clan know the secret hand shake and all that. And why have mods if they move threads and contradict the admins decisions consistancy is just not a theme on WP at the moment. Well apart from consistant lame drama queen stories.

This site should become a tribute to that Alex the Kid game on the master system.

Is their a problem laz? Alex appointed me mod to try to fix some of the problems around here. He originally told me to move that thread to moderator forum, i said fine I'll do it.

but then this morning i had a discussion with the other mods and they said it might be better if we moved it back. i agreed. We talked about some ideas in the thread to help make WP a better place such as a board of directors and how we would appoint them.

Unfortunately as of tonight Alex made the poor decision of deleting the thread. I was using that thread to help calm everyone down, and help make things better.

i am very angry that alex deleted the thread, and I am also very upset that you would publicly denounce the fact Im a mod....

Whether you believe it or not i have the community as whole's best interest at heart. As you can see by my start up date I've been quite a while. and i remember when WP was very friendly open community, but now it;s sadly turned into a warzone. My goal as a mod is to help restore order to this site and make the friendly place it once was.

Laz Im not taking anyone's side in this whole fiasco, im trying to help improve this community as a whole. So therefore Im really trying to help you. :)

Well, the whole thing has been one heck of a soap opera here lately. I don't know how many of the once active mods and admins have left WP or are no longer moderating any more.

If you want to know my take on things, read my signature. Or my avatar. It doesn't make any difference whatsoever.

To tell you the truth Laz, my recommendation when I was an active mod to avoid burnout issues was 1 mod for every 100 users and 1 admin for every 5 mods. If that were the case, this site right now would need about 40 mods and 8 admins to operate comfortably. Also, not all mods that are listed are active.

Right now, due to the mess, I would consider Alex lucky if he has 1 mod for every 500 users and I think he has 1 or 2 admins. Needless to say, unless Alex can recruit more people or do something, burnout will happen very quick.

Those kinda stats are alittle weird how can you have this ratio approach to mods per number of members. Im on a site were there is one mod for each seperate forum subject and that seems fair enough as any dodgy posts are reported to the mod who's forum it is for them to look at and it seems to work reasonably well.

Bare in mind its a popular uk music magazines website and has probably even more active membership this forum. And has had dodgy incidents in the past as well....almost as bad as that Wilfrued bloke or whatever his name was.

That a little excessive don;t you think? If that was the case this site might be in worse shape than it is now.

This place has too many moderators if you ask me.

Be warned.. if a mod says something stupid, i'll have something to say about it and you'll probably end up being bitten in the butt. I'd like to keep WP with as little corruption as possible - and stand up for members that I think get unfairly punished.

Good idea, only I think it should be active users, not just users. There are about, what, 1500-2000 active users here. Hence, there should be between 15 and 20 mods and three or four admins. Now, it would be quite a bit nicer if the mods and admins were active as well...
