I love learning, and some people on this forum too. But they often assume that it's come frome being asperger. But I don't think it is, and I want to verify it. Of course everyone in some way like learning, but I talking about a curiosity that lead to learn things on many subjects. So anyone who don't got this thirst for knowledge, outside aspie interests.

Interesting topic. I've always had a natural curiosity I'd compare it to a toddler Mommy what's that what's this etc. Sadly learning is "normal behavior" as a child (example Mommy I learned Dog is D-O-G) Fastforward to adulthood (Mom I learned X about Psychology Her: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT s**t!) Me: Oh ok. (So having this "loving" to learn behavior isn't so good in adulthood. I also had it outside of my interest of videogames and Psychology and have never gotten an answer to

Why is grass Green, the sky blue, what is paint made out of etc. (It's tossing these questions at the person who gave books to homeschoolers that got be bumped up a grade from 7th grade work to 8th grade work so I was able to skip a grade due to my curiosity behavior. :-) Overall after learning of AS/special interest and reading other WP post I myself have connected this behavior trait to my AS (Really analyze it what 20 something says OMG I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW ABOUT PSYCHOLOGY!! !! and talks about Psychology 24/7?) LOL! So whether it's AS or not I know a "loving" to learn behavior is NOT normal behavior sadly. :-(

we see chlorophyll as green and plant leaves are loaded with it.

The sky is blue because of refraction and the colour of air. For refraction well you see the red in the morning and evening.

I forget the technical words but paint is made with a thinning agent to keep it a liquid and suspend the solids until its used. There is dye pigments to give colour. Binding agents so when the paint dries it doesn't peel or crack. There is other chemicals to increase its strength when dried too.

I too have an insane curiosity

I never really thought it much strange to say read wikipedia for a couple hours until I read the "you might be an aspie if" thread

I like learning about things I find interesting or am curious about. I have a very hard time learning about and retaining information on something that comes across as boring, pointless, stupid, etc.

If I'm interested in it, I suck up every piece of information I can get on it - twice over.
If I'm not interested in it, I don't seek any info on it.

Problem is my interests vary, once I 'know' everything I move on to something else. Made me a perpetual student with no clear career direction. :(
