...a "ret*d" getting better grades,without even studying much,than so called normal intellect people???

I'm assuming you get called a ret*d, becaues ASD isn't considered retardation. You may also have retardation, but it's not a requisite.

I've never studied and got better grades than nts

I always never studied and normally got better grades than nearly everyone. It almost worked better that way; my memory just operated on its own, and I wasn't really anxious about what results my work would get because I hardly did any.

Now, when I go back to school, I want to choose subjects that I love and that I WANT to learn about and then I will consciously spend time with them. It's taken me years to realise this is a good thing.

Bad psychiatry toasted my ability to do this. Hooray for contraindicated meds, overuse of anti-psychotics, and misdiagnosis.

the thing is i am supposedly a ''ret*d'' yet without even trying and studying much i get better grades than people who have at least 15 points higher iq than me...That is embarrasing,they should feel that way at least imagine i studied for maths 20 minutes and got 100/100 and one who studied at least as much as me not to mention 1 or 2 hours got somewhere between 60-70 i don't remember exactly...

I dunno exactly what my IQ is but I always wondered whether I was intelligent or just had good memory hehe

The best thing of all about it is that I was actually able to do well in exams for subjects that I have little / no understanding of like English Lit by memorizing and regurgitating what other people said.

I didn't study much but I generally always did well on exams. Once I got full marks on a Science exam despite the fact that I was 20 minutes late to it and did f**k all revision the night before.

from what i have seen of you (i played the duke nukem games in full so i remember what you say) i think you are not ret*d. i am often wrong with impressions however.

the statement you posted seems like you are saying you are automatically talented in a savant style way.

I'm not an expert, but if you're IQ has been formally tested, and you've had a low result, yet you still perform well educationally, maybe there was something wrong with the way you were tested?

As an example, it's very hard to test the IQ of people with "classic" autism. Conventional IQ tests may produce low results, but they're often not very reflective of the true level of intellect of the individual.

As another example, some IQ tests, and other types of test, are timed. So scores depend on the ability to quickly process the question at hand, and to know what response is expected. Whereas now it's commonplace (in the UK education system at any rate) to acknowledge that persons with ASD should have longer to take tests than others, not due to a lack of intelligence, but due to language processing difficulties, and also due to executive function problems in organising a response.

Also, our skills can vary enormously over different tasks. I used to read algebra like other people read text, but if it came to being given instructions on completing a practical task, I'd be hopeless. Again, that's not down to a lack of intelligence, although it could be perceived as such by others.
